A family records the drive to their new home in Oak Park, CA. Watch as they drive up Kanan Road through Agoura Hills and past what is now the housing developments of Hillrise, Fountainwood and Morrison Ranch. No shopping centers existed back then either!

I must say, this is truly stunning. Being the "Hillrise enthusiast" I am just blown away. Hillrise didn't come around until the next year, 1968. Barclay-Hollander-Curci, its developer, described the area of much like you see here-"the country". It makes me wish it was still around, because that's how Hillrise was meant to be, that's how Oak Park was meant to be as well, and I just think it would be better if it weren't so crowded. I love this video, it takes me back to simpler times.
