That's me on the top riser, in front of the "Shebang" firecracker! I'm in the blue pinstripe seersucker coat (looks white) dancing with Sherry Goldshire. OMG, I had such a crush on her. She was like the teacher's pet: she was one of Casey's favorites (you can see, he stops to talk to her). On the top riser with us is Famous Hooks, my best friend in high school! I believe this video is actually 1966, even though it says '67.

You, my friend, are one lucky man to have been able to be a teenager in that decade. I envy you. I am a '60s music fanatic. Unfortunately I was born too late, born 4 years after this aired (1970.) If a time machine existed, I would head back to 1965, a time when music was at it's best.

Not 1967, but 1966. As Casey says, this was the very first song played on this TV program, which debuted in '65.

Looks like everyone is having a great time. I love the fashions of this time period. I like the dancing too. I wondered how folks danced to certain songs from this era out of curiosity. Now I know. Women were so feminine.

I agree. The fashion was awesome. Even the guys' fashion. I know if I was to wear those type of clothes today, I'd probably be committed. Lol.

Her name is Judy Baker. She was my dance partner often on American Bandstand. We lived close together and always went to the Saturday night dances at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, which went on for years. She was also my dance partner here on Shebang sometimes, but I mostly danced with Sherry, who is in this clip with me, in the white dress, dancing with me on the top bandstand (left side). Casey comes up to us and talks to her.

OMG! Picky! I didn't know this was you. I just discovered this post. Yes, I was a regular dancer on the show, as well as American Bandstand, Lloyd Thaxton, and 9th Street West. This was 1966 and I was 16, going to Hollywood High. It filmed daily after school at the KTLA studios on Sunset Blvd., just west of Gower.
