This has been the roughest year for the oak ridge boys. I feel so bad that on what is supposed to be a happy memorable year as they retire to lose 2 family members and 1 singer. My prayers are with all the oak ridge boys and their families. Been listening to them sing for 50 years. Been a great 50 years of music.

Rusty gave me the shirt off his back, literally. It said John Beer and had antlers on a keg. We were at a show in Pulaski, TN with Chris Hennessee and I spilled some stuff on my shirt, and he gave me his and grabbed a spare out of his car. Rusty was a true cat. The realest of musicians. The reason Nashville is Nashville... or was Nashville. He won't be forgotten.

This was so heartbreaking 💔 for his dad and brothers! His fans were devastated as well. He was singing with the Goldens (his family) ! William Lee Golden (his dad) sung with both the Oakridge Boys and the Goldens. So his time is busy and divided. Rusty played the piano 🎹 and sang with his family! They continue to play and sing because William has said singing is something that helps with dealing with the grief of the loss of his son!
