Oak Woodgraining From a Painter's Trade Show

In February 2012, Pierre Finkelstein demonstrated the first step of oak woodgraining. Here is the video from the show. Pierre demo's the brushes and tools that he uses. He also uses Proceed decorative painting products in his glaze and colorants.

Holy fk. What is he tool being used directly after the burlap? Some sort of rubber mark out tool? Or a stuff brush? Thanks.

Sounded like he described a tool I’ve seen folks use for making soft impressions in clay. They come in many shapes, angled, toothed, pointed. The toothed are very short stubby joints.

Steven Field hi Steven I agree his books are excellent but there is no way in knowing what the glaze he uses is personally I use polyvine
