From my experience the only reason they "fail" is when people don't take care of them. Unfortunately you have to WASH them after you use them. Don't just leave them with your sweat on the lenses and rubbers. Sweat and all of the body oils can cause damage to some materials like you wouldn't believe, especially those that have certain properties (special rubber, coated lenses etc.). People unfortunately are just gross when it comes to glasses and watches, it's something that you wear on your body just like clothes. If you didn't wash your underwear it would also "flake" and rot... If you don't want to deal with that, just buy a pair of throwaway glasses for 10$.

I have the same pair. Love the evzero design, it is light and has good coverage, and these are TDF special edition. Sad that they dont last, within a year, peeling lens, flaking coating at the lens edges, same centreline coating crack. Another uncessary plastic waste, upset that the frame which is otherwise still in good working condition has to be ditched too.

Same issues minus the crack, but that might be because I just gorilla glued the nose piece on after losing it and having to buy a replacement.

So helpful. Was about to place an order for them and closed that webpage... I sweat a Lot road cycling. What is your go to pair for extended time in the saddle in hot humid Nashville, TN? Thanks for sharing man

I do love the now out of print Oakley jawbone ...you want something with air vents....I got a pair of Roka, they are so clean but I’ve not tried them in extreme heat....but they are worth looking at....some of the Oakley have that nose piece that you can flip “open” for airflow...check that too :)

I have the flight jackets which have the flip up nose bridge. I used it a lot when I had the Oakley branded lenses, as they’d fog up sitting at a light, but after getting some cheaper aftermarket replacement lenses, those don’t fog, so I no longer flip the nose.

Wow. That is pretty weak Oakley. Obviously theres a manufacturing defect to cause that kind of crack. They should have replaced them FFS.I mean seriously, with what they charge for what could not cost much to rpoduce, its just plastic after all, yes nice plastic and great tech but its nowhere near the $100 mark, probably cost them $10 at the max. If they want to keep chargeing premium prices for a premium product back it with a premium warranty. What is it costing you but perhaps a lifetime customer.

Oh well, that's how it is with the idiotic frameless design.
