I have two questions for you. I have the flight deck goggles and the Mod 5 helmet both 2018 versions. would you recommend the small or large viser on the Mod 5? Also, you say speakers work in the ear pockets. Which speakers would you recommend? I was thinking wireless and bluetooth.

Hey Chris thanks for reaching out to us! The Mod 5 comes with 2 brims that are interchangeable so test out both of them with the goggle. The important thing is to make sure there isn't a gab in between the top of the goggle and the brim. For the headphones we would recommend going with wireless/Bluetooth headphones. Some of our team members used them when we tested the helmets out in Big Bear and there weren't any complaints about the headphones being uncomfortable.

Why do they do back goggle strap holder in plastic and not in rubber/silicone? It would be much better. You can brake plastic if fall back on ice...

Hi Ben, Oakley designs all their goggles to be compatible with the Mod5 helmet. There is not one specific goggle that will fit better than the other.

Hello! MIPS is the latest in helmet technology and in our opinion it is worth it because it helps to adsorb and redirect the impact which really helps to take the edge off. If you are wearing a helmet you are trying to protect the one thing that cannot be replaced, so why not wear the best? Hope this helps!

Hello! We have not used them with the chips wireless speakers. The ear covers are fully removable so it would most likely be compatible.

Great review, love your videos! Question: In the clip of Jason at a ski resort, starting at about 00:43, he is wearing Oakley Line Miner that has a black frame/strap with sapphire iridium lenses. On the Oakley website, sapphire iridium is only available with a white frame/strap. Where can I get sapphire iridum with a black frame/strap?

The Line Miner does not come with an extra lens but you can buy an extra lens separately. We recommend the Prizm Hi-Pink & Prizm Rose for low light conditions, check out our lens guide if you didn't see it already: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5DXm559n62GhrM We don't have a video for changing the lens on the Line Miner, but that's a great idea for a video. Mikey, that is a great question! While there are pockets in the ear pads, we don't know if they are large enough for the CHIPS. Based on the photos alone, a soft guess would be yes. Hey Lee thanks for watching and commenting on the video! The Airbrake XL goggle will be compatible with the MOD 3 and 5 helmet, as Oakley designs all of its goggles to sync with their helmets. If we had to give the edge to one of the helmets it would be the MOD 5. Rob specifically tested out the Airbrake XL with the Mod 5 helmet and thought it was the perfect combo. Hey Jay! From our knowledge the Oakley Mod5 helmet should be compatible with the Airbrake goggle. Oakley designs all of it helmets and goggles to sync with one another. When you test them out together make sure that there isn't a gab between the top of the goggle and helmet.
