The one thing I’ve noticed while wearing these while aggressive mountain biking is the slip a bit. There isn’t any rubber on the arms and they tend to slide with the sweat and vibration of mtbing

Totally obsessed with these. However, would there be a lens color ideal for hiding your eyes from showing? I noticed in the video the Prism Black was great but the Prism Road was not so great as I could see his eyes. Any recommendations?

Hi there! You are on the right track. PRIZM Black has a lower VLT-this means that it will block more light from coming through the lens to your eyes and have a darker tint. Another great option would be PRIZM Sapphire. PRIZM Road has double the VLT transmission of PRIZM Black which is why your eyes are more visible. Hope this helps!

Thoughts on cylindrical vs. HDO? Does cylindrical introduce some distortion that is otherwise not present in HDO (which, if I understand right, requires a spherical lens)? I haven't found anything addressing the difference of this being a non HDO lens of what, if anything, is lost; the laser test vs. a Jawbreaker lens would be interesting.

Can you use these for skiing? I like to ski with sunglasses instead of goggles, but with some glasses the wind gets around it in your eyes. These seem wide, so whats your opinion?

Hey Winston, sorry we're getting to your comment so late in the game. Fortunately, it isn't quite snow season yet. As you mentioned, goggles are the optimal choice. They're obviously designed for the snow. However, some people definitely rock the Sutro out on the snow. I would suggest reserving them for calmer days or cross country stuff where wind isn't going to play as much of a factor. With that said, these frames perform really well on the bike at high speeds because of their wide lens and peripheral coverage. The Sutro offers about as much protection as sunglasses can give you. Hopefully this helps.

Hey Jonathan, Graham here from SportRx. Oakley's PRIZM lens tech does a great job with minimizing glare. Additionally, each specific PRIZM lens is fine tuned for specific light and sport environments to enhance the colors you want to see, while muting the colors you don't. In short, the Oakley Sutro in PRIZM lenses will cut out a ton of glare. With that being said, if you're planning on using them for a sport like fishing where you get a ton of glare off the water, you might want to go for a PRIZM polarized lens. This will completely eliminate glare. Unfortunately, the none of the Oakley Sutro models (Sutro Lite & Sutro Lite Sweep) come with polarized lenses. For PRIZM polarized options, we recommend the Oakley Portal X, Radar EV Path, or Flak 2.0 XL. Hope this answers your questions!

Oakley can do 18 mm bridges so I don’t understand why they must always give these oversized models a 16 mm nose bridge. I’ve owned a pair of Jupiter Squared for a while now and haven’t found any comparable sports glasses from Oakley since.

Hello there! In general, the 16mm nosebridge fits a wide variety of faces. The Sutro features a saddle style nosebridge so it is a bit more comfortable than a standard bridge and totally worth trying out. As you can see in the video, the frame fits both a small/medium nose and a large nose so chances are it will fit you too!

They are not. The Sutros were designed with cycling & MTB in mind, among other sports that do not benefit from polarized lenses. This is because polarization can negatively affect depth perception and reaction time.
