+Darren Apo I use AH hooks.. can't remember the size.. if I find the package I'll reply back to you.. for line I use 2 lb. Test .. and just a split shot lead.

Where I fish, we have these massive schools full of hundreds of these guys and there are layers of them that goes deep. I can never seem to catch them and these guys are like on average 5 to 7lb. What would you recommend for me catching them?

if ur talking about oama, you cant catch tem when they are swimming, they have to be on the ground. where i fish, there are schools of tiny fish just above the piles that give it a dark color on the water. It if filled with mostly oama, some baby halalu, and big halalu that you need 3 lb test to catch. if its not oama, tell me what kind of fish they are
