Line twist happens when you turn the reel handle when the drag is slipping. Every turn of the handle puts 5-7 twists in your line if the drag is slipping. To make the flesh more firm on those dead oama treat them with Pro Cure bait brine. I use Pro Cure products on anchovies, sardines, herring, shrimp and squid. The treated dead baits last a lot longer when trolling than untreated baits. If you can’t find any there in Hawaii, send me a note and I will donate one to you. Good luck.

We just add rock salt, it firms them up also, free salt from the ocean in some of the pools.
@Dasato1234 жыл бұрын
For a change up you could remove the lead from your rig, easy if it’s attached with a loop. Then cast just the oama and retrieve it slowly. High rod tip to twitch it on the surface or low to keep it a couple of feet down. Some times this change in presentation will get a strike. The wind is at your back at that location so you can still get a decent casting distance.

When casting spinning reels, each cast turns the line about a half twist. These twists build up after a number of casts... To get rid of the twists I used to troll the line from my boat with just the swivel and the line would straighten out again. Keep the line on the water's surface... Casting from shore try to use the lightest weight you can... cast it out and retrieve fast keeping the weight and line on top of the water. It might just unravel the line enough to prevent those twists.

Good video. Just came back from Oahu, what is the exact location? Where can I get the bait? Thanks.
@mpillejera4 жыл бұрын
Check you line roller and make sure it still freespins. You do do alot of fishing wading out. Next if it was freshly spooled leave at least 1/16th of the spool lip exposed to ensure you didn't overfill your reel.

@OtayMedia4 жыл бұрын
Good action bro. In regards to the go pro, make sure your SD card is up to par and you format it before every shoot day because it will minimize the margin for error and basically keeps the SD working properly when out shooting.

Is it a young people thing to say “I am first” when someone posts a video? I am not young and I do not understand how saying “first” has any real meaning to the video or its poster.
