No. I closed my account. Apparently OANDA only offers South Africans a leverage of 200:1 no other option

oanda is only giving my 1:1 leverage when I have it set at 50;1 leverage on my live account. ive talked to 5 reps now plus a supervisor and the offshore call center reps dont know what the hell theyre talking about or have the means to fix the problem.

The video says that if you have $100 in your account you can trade with a 50 to 1 leverage which means you can place trades that are worth $5,000. If you have $1,000 in your account you can place trades worth $50,000.

right now all Oanda leverage is fixed meaning no options to change. For any type of account. So this video is obsolete, try another platform

If spreads are messing with your profits you should trade larger time frames for bigger overall moves, 4H, 1D 1W chart.
