This will probably be my last video for a while (again) because I'm focussing almost all of my time on trying to become a professional video editor. This channel really helped me to realise that dream, so thanks for everyone that supports my work here. I really hope the Japanese subtitles make sense because I had to translate most of them myself, but I knew they had to be included so that Japanese fans got to see that us Westerners know they love Oasis just like we do! If you've been to Japan and had any Oasis related experiences or if you're Japanese and obsessed with Oasis then let us all hear about it in the comments! I'll leave you with a few quotes that I've found whilst making this video: (I'll be adding more as I see them!) John Dwyer - "Thank you Japan for giving our boys such a great reception & flying so many Union flags! I loved the combined Japanese & English one, 🇬🇧🇯🇵 exactly the way we feel about our amazing Japanese cousins!" Sound Check (comment from ep.253 of the Oasis Podcast) - "I think one of the reasons Oasis is so popular in Japan is that the Gallaghers' optimism resonates with the Japanese spirit. This is a country that was forced to find strength after one of the most terrible events of the 20th century. In many Japanese works, the main characters are optimists but operate in a cruel world. For example, the most popular manga in history (One Piece) is almost the equivalent of Oasis and Stone Roses in Japanese comics (the mood, message, energy - very much in the spirit of these bands)" これはしばらくの間(再び)私の最後の動画になるかもしれません。

Hi! I went to the first Oasis concert in Japan. Best memory. I still have the concert brochure. Brit rock was popular in Japan at that time. It makes me feel nostalgic.

The first gig I went to was Knebworth. I live in Japan now. I went to my local cinema to see the Knebworth movie and it was packed. I genuinely regret not standing by the exit like "hey, if you lot came to see this, I want to be friends with you. Who's up for a pint?"

Yeah Budokan 98 Supernova outro was the best ever in my opinion.
While watching this I truly thought you might have been native to Japan, but I see from the description now that it took effort to translate this text into Japanese. It's a little sad to me cos I wanted to ask if it would be possible to cover some rock groups from Japan that came in Oasis' wake, since their sound was massively influential to a lot of Japanese rock music since. I know the Pillows take heavy influence from Oasis. And there's another band I really really love, called Taffy, who are a self-described Britpop revival band, and the arrangement of their songs is really fitting to me as well. (For the record, I am not Japanese)
