It can't be ignored just how good the questions in the interview actually are compared to a run of the mill interview. I've seen Noel interviewed a thousand times over the last 20 years and this is without a doubt one of the best.

The fact that Sean knew Noel was a wrestling fan and casually brought it up -- in what looked to be an unscripted question at 17:27 after talking about Stone Cold Austin -- just shows how much this guy knows his guests. I'm impressed.

I'm just commenting on the fact that Sean's question about wrestling was different because it didn't appear to be prepared. It came up spontaneously after Noel brought up wrestling.

The sheer amount of research this show is able to come up with REGULARLY SHOCKS EVEN THE INTERVIEWEES. So yes, it's not scripted, but that's literally what an interview is.

Unpopular opinion, I think Sean is an okay interviewer, he doesn't really know how to smoothly follow up with guests' anecdotes or improvise with guest's personalities. His delivery is really good for their format though. Their interviews are great mostly because of their extremely well researched and good questions, not really Sean's interviewing ability.

What I love about this show is: Two people walk in. It's an interview. They down some wings. At the beginning there may be some awkwardness, but by the end they are like two drunk friends. It's the best.

EDIT: To everyone saying the question was off limits or that it was cut: I highly doubt that. Reason being Noel has been asked that in practically every interview for the past ten years. And he usually just cracks a joke followed by a hard no. One of the most recent examples is the Seth Meyers interview back in August.

I think that's part of what makes Sean such a savvy interviewer. Ask interesting questions that no one asks these people. And don't ask questions they always get asked. The reason this show has done so well is because of questions that catch the guest off guard and (with the aid of the wing distraction) produce moments of sincerity. That's why so many guests have complimented Sean's interview style. I imagine he's a breath of fresh air for many of them.

one thing i noticed after watching this, Noel Gallagher has great hair, great genes and looks absolutely amazing for his age. Not many celebs are holding up over time like this guy and it looks like hes not going under the knife either. He says hes drinking the night before and nursing a hangover, shows signs of that being true and still looks great and provides a great interview. A true mans man.

I used to think that Oasis was just a simple band with just Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back in Anger as their only hits until I watched the Supersonic Documentary and I really saw how big they really were and still they are with many hits, massive concerts and being one of the most important by not saying the most important band in Britpop history and in the 90s in the world

This is what happens when you don’t ask your guests the same tired old questions they’ve answered a million times already. I never really could put my finger on what was so special about that show with Adam as host, but I loved it. There was magic there that Travel Channel flushed down the toilet like they often do when they stumble into making something really good. They have a knack for firing the good hosts and replacing them with bad ones or when they need to keep it simple just cancelling good shows.
