incredible cover, did you use any reverb? and the delay pedal is on all the time?
@pauljohnstone5472 ай бұрын
@@alvaroarteaga3055 Thanks so much Alvaro! Appreciate you watching and the sub! There is some reverb from the amp and I use the dd3 delay only for the intro and the lead parts 👍
@alvaroarteaga30552 ай бұрын
@@pauljohnstone547 thanks! I currently have a Boss SD1 and a Boss DS2. To play rhythm I only use the SD1 and for solos I combine both pedals (it should be noted that I have very low distortion on the DS2). However, I don't feel that I'm satisfied with the sound. Do you think that if I change the DS2 for a RAT it will improve?
@pauljohnstone5472 ай бұрын
@@alvaroarteaga3055 a rat is a distortion pedal so will probably be similar to the ds2. I'd recommend getting a Maxon OD9 or TC spark boost to stack with your current overdrive for a good lead tone. I have these pedals and have used them in a few different configurations all with decent results. What kind of amp are you using?
@alvaroarteaga3055Ай бұрын
@@pauljohnstone547 I use a Marshall code always on a clean channel. Sometimes I play in bars and they lend me different amplifiers. So it's a complicated situation to have a sound that depends on the amplifier
@pauljohnstone547Ай бұрын
@@alvaroarteaga3055 ah I see what you mean. I'd definitely recommend the TC spark boost to go on top of your overdrive if you are looking to push it further. It has an EQ section and 3 types of boost and a gain setting so it's pretty versatile. They aren't that expensive either it's a great pedal for the money 👍

@pauljohnstone5476 ай бұрын
Thanks man. Used a Blackstar HT5r anniversary edition overdrive channel. Gain 9 o'clock, bass and middle on 2 o'clock treble on 11 o'clock. Hope you can make sense of that and it helps you get you close to what you're after. My amp doesn't have numbers on the dials 😂
@footy4life1306 ай бұрын
Nice one thank you it’ll definitely help out , keep it going it sounds great
@pauljohnstone5476 ай бұрын
@@footy4life130 no problem. I also used a boss SD1 for leads and dd3 for intro. Just a further note, the gain might sound quite a low setting on your amp but mine is pretty loud here so if you need more gain just dial it up a touch. With the amp being up loud it pushes it a bit further.

Infinitely better than the studio version which is way overhyped. All the DM songs sound better faster. Supersonic from the same show is in a different league the slow studio version.
@pauljohnstone5475 ай бұрын
I have to agree, I prefer all the live versions to the studio ones. For me they are just better and were always a great live band in the 90s and again with the new line up in the latter years. On the subject of Supersonic, if you haven't already check the version from Berlin 2002. It's right up there.
