People can say anything they like about this album, nearly 30 years on it's still up there as one of the best. Pure, unashamed, in your face rock n roll. Me and my mates were lucky to have been bang on the right age when this music was around, and I'm pretty confident saying all of us still find our way back to it quite often. Supersonic was just starting to be played on the only alternative radio stations in Memphis. They were calling them a new band from England. No one was there and I couldn't understand a word Liam said the whole show. They were awesome and so much sound was coming from the stage, I was hooked that night.

What made Oasis special from all other bands were the brothers, their love hate relationship for each other, the Yin and Yang, the heart and soul, their humble working class beginning the personality and attitude their positive outlook in life which related to every boy and girl in britian recognising them as one of their own. They knew each others strengths and weaknesses what bonded them during some difficult hardship in times still continuing, for a moment through the love of music they became one with fans, bringing biggest gathering of people from every corner of the UK to have the best most joyful happiest time in their lives. Writing and singing most beautiful anthems with deep insightful, purest and touching lyrics that's still making huge impact to our every day lives to this day. The unique relationship between us fans and oasis with real feeling and passion made them stronger and untouchable and becoming one of the greatest most influential band changing a generation. The same relationship what raised them high eventually also lead to the downfall creating sorrow and pain between them and us all. I know for sure, deep down they still love and care about each other (well they blood after all). Even after all that the music and the legacy they created will never ever be forgotten for years to come and will go down in history. ♥️✌️

For me it was more than refreshing to see and hear a band who were working class, British, absolutely skint but sung songs about staying positive and that a better life was only around the corner. There were far to many bands who moaned about fame and being in a famous band to begin with. These guys were ready and built for the bullshit that comes along with the music industry. I love Nirvana but most of there work came from a very depressing place. Oasis were the sound of kids getting up in the morning with an "let's see what today will bring" positve attitude. The fact they have just got back together and how crazy people have went since it was announced tells you how important this band truly are.

If it only took 30 minutes, why didn't he write another one? The truth is that it took his entire life up to that point. He was a professional songwriter trying every day to write hit songs. So if he could have written it the day before, he would have.

@@joelmonteiro1419Totally agree. The second and third verses are clumsy, and in my opinion, dont sound like they are well thought out, which isnt a sin for a song, but its nowhere near genius. I think its a shame too, because the beginning lyrics had a lot of potential for a powerful message. Also my opinion, but the faster version of Supersonic that Ive seen on here, absolutely smashes the slow version that was on the video I seem to remember when the album was released here in the US.

Just watched a 240p quality version of this only to find a 480p version right here that is actually 7 minutes longer.

The "I am the Walrus" cover by them is unreal! Has to be the greatest cover of all-time. Very rarely does a cover version, sound better then the original, that's how good they were............especially because it was a Beatles song too! Class.

When people don't know who Oasis is, I play them "Columbia", really really loud. And they never mind how loud. And if they didn't like the music, or they don't like how loud it is, I don't need to be friends with them, anyway.
