They’re my favorite band and I will be going to the Toronto show. Announcing second concerts to most of these cities seems over ambitious though given the size of the venues. They were never that big in North America, the Dig Out Your Soul tour stop in Edmonton did not sell out at 17,000 capacity. Now it will be 50,000 in Toronto and the biggest being 91,000 in LA for Rose Bowl. I understand the strategy, fewer shows in densely populated areas that people all over the country (and world) will travel to. Live Nation seems to have the data to make these decisions as so far the reunion has been an overwhelming success in terms of sales. Whatever happens, it feels good that my favorite band is now getting this kind of recognition in North America. I have loved their solo work too but if this tour is successful and new music is coming that will be fantastic.

It is nice to see them getting the love they deserve in North America!

@@NickCinoMusic honestly astonished that they immediately sold out back to back nights at Met Life Stadium and Rose Bowl. Both stadiums are 90,000 capacity. And at really high prices. They might have actually netted $400 million on these shows alone and combined with the UK and wherever else they go, might be over $1 billion by the end.

Hope to be in Chicago. Going both nights at home here in Dublin.

‘It’s Kill Or Be Killed’ (a line you said near the end of this video) is, in my imagination at least, a brand new Oasis song title! (Write a song called that for your own band. There you go 👍)

You're right it is a good title!

Im really surprised they are playing Solider Field in Chicago a 61k seater. At the time of their split they were barely doing theatres here. Excited this is one of the cities! just goes to show how taking time off and nostalgia create a demand.

ask someone if they know Liam or Noel Gallagher, and then ask them if they have heard of Oasis. The name carries a lot of weight.
@NickCinoMusicАй бұрын
It looks like Chicago was the only NA city that didn't get an extra date, hopefully they sell out and another one!

I also got the loyal fan email. Don't worry about getting tickets if you qualify for the presale. I had applied for the pre=sale for the UK shows and easily could of bought standing tickets at UKP155. I did not go through with it as it was apparent at that time there would be a world tour. I do not feel any sympathy for those that overpaid for tickets due to dynamic pricing. UKP 455 for a general admission ticket!? Front row, sure, but not GA. When GA tickets go Platinum I stay away. Having said that, not knowing ticket prices ahead of time (at least in North America), and dynamic pricing creates real high pressure sales tactics. Robert Smith got it right, I cannot believe the other artists still have not figured it out (or just don't care). What I would like to know is how much are the standing tickets going to be in Toronto (which the equivalent converted amount would be the same in the US, I would expect). I do not think it will be less than C$250. If they charge the same UKP155, that would be around C$275. If you read Oasis managements message about Dynamic Pricing, they mention that it also help keep ticket prices below market, so it could be C$300 if they are going to make us absorb the loss from Dynamic Pricing.

I was hoping for a different opening act. I have seen Cage the Elephant twice, and the last time was last month. Good band, but I was hoping for someone like Tom Meighan, Jake Bugg, or Gerry Cinnamon. Stereophonics would have been amazing.
@NickCinoMusicАй бұрын
Stereophonics would be my choice too! Actually the last time I saw Oasis at Virgin Fest in Toronto in 2008, the lineup was Stereophonics, Paul Weller, and Oasis headlining. It was incredible!

I'm not sure they'll be selling out stadiums in the US....pretty bold.
@MassiveCatLittleLegsАй бұрын
I was sceptical when I first saw the itinerary, but the promotional team will have done their homework, especially with the amount of money invested. And they have only booked 3 US shows in arguably the three major cities, so it's not like Coldplay or Taylor Swift or Beyonce booking night after night in cities across the country. It could go either way.
