your being a bit harsh , his voice is good for his age at his current live shows..he takes care of himself now. He is the first to admit he destroyed it with living the 'lifestyle' but have a listen to it and he is as good or better than jagger and mcartney and a lot of other people...maybe he Did have surgery....listen to his gig at the bethnal green workmans social club..he's not in his 20's hes nearly 50 and his voice is fantastic

Couldn't agree more with a comment posted below. Liam's voice used to do something to my soul. I remember hearing Wonderwall on the radio as an 18 year old kid and feeling a connection to his voice that I have never and will never feel again. That was it. I was hooked and "some might say" (geddit?!) that I jumped on the bandwagon from there on in but I genuinely felt some sort of connection with his voice. The most underrated voice in music. Not because it was never appreciated ........ but because it was never appreciated for what it really is worth! Listening to it now still makes my skin tingle. No other voice has EVER had that effect on me and I doubt ever will. And for that Liam, I am eternally grateful. X

He's kind of like Richard Ashcroft in the sense that he can absolutely bellow amidst walls of guitars and noise, but his voice really shines (eerm, "sheeeeyines") when he bares it all acoustically. It just has an emotional depth and resonance- a voice of a movement and time long gone by.
