I love this interview! Liam so funny and chatty - and Noel looks like he's going nuts because he can't talk. But I like the relationship between the brothers, you can tell that they both like each other. From 3:52-4:16 - Love the end of that where Liam says "No, you don't" . Liam was never jealous of Noel. He loved his older brother and admired him - on many occasions calling him the best songwriter in the world.

Very interesting watch - Liam so open and relaxed and almost controlling the interview but not on purpose he’s just flowing - and then there is Noel getting irritated that he isn’t speaking being the older brother and is forced to interrupt Liam and point out he’s the bloke who writes all the songs - loam ignores and carries on - a really interesting moment to see Noel already battling for supremacy and acknowledgment whilst Liam is just happy to be there - Noel might be clever with words and appear the calm and intelligent one of the brothers but he had a nasty side wishing and wanting praise and recognition whereas Liam is what you see nothing hidden at all
@Lauren_MUFC164 жыл бұрын
I love them both, I do...it seems like now, you have to pick one or the other. I loved Noel, always thought Liam was the one ruining things...but then I watch these and I see how pompous Noel could be. Yes, you write the music, you’re talented...but only Liam could pull off singing the most of the songs. How many times can you keep reminding someone you’re the songwriter before they get pissed? I don’t know...their egos clash, but they balance each other out, too. Wish they’d just end the bs.
@sophieekins3 жыл бұрын
i see where you're coming from, but as a songwriter in a band I know how frustrating it can be when you're the one doing most of the work and get no credit for it. Liam never changed. Did he look happier in certain interviews? Yea, but that's life, we go through ups and downs. Liam always stayed true to himself. We only mature and make smarter decisions as we get older. At least we hope we do. Noel sort of drifted into a difference space, and I believe he used his younger brother's crazy partying and rock and roll lifestyle as an excuse to move on and be by himself as a solo artist. He just wanted all credit and attention to himself. Oasis was always Liam's band even if Noel wrote those amazing songs.

I love how Noel recently suggested that all the fighting and negativity in Oasis came from Liam, yet I have never seen a single interview when Noel isn't ridiculing and putting down his younger brother to other people (see 2:28). I used to like Noel and think Liam was a dumb thug, but now I realise how incredibly young he was at the time, as well as clearly having ADHD and impulse-control issues. The insane amount of media attention and adulation he received at that age would have been the icing on the cake.

@vladimirimp5 жыл бұрын
Big man Noel gives the interviewer the 'difficult rock star' treatment with brooding silences and faux-trippy answers. Liam steps in to answer the questions properly then Noel gets the huff. "I write all the songs" he says. Do you, Noel? Why feel the need to say that when you haven't been asked? The thing that destroyed this band was always Noel's jealousy of Liam. And there was no need, they both brought different things to the band, but that wasn't enough for Noel.
@guidad5424 жыл бұрын
He's definetely high as fuck. I'm surprised he talks as much as he does
@siddh7813 жыл бұрын
No one said this jealousy crap before Liam's comeback. Thing that destroyed the band was Liam's terrible attitude towards Noel, but you're obviously not going to mention that. And it still continues with Liam repeatedly taking jabs towards Noel on twitter and bringing his kids into the feud as well. So what if Noel was jealous, at least he's humble enough to say that he wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Liam. But Liam is so full of himself that he wouldn't even admit that...
@nathanbaseley11673 жыл бұрын
@@siddh781 'No-one said this jealous crap before Liam's comeback'. Liam's album 'As You Were' was released in 2017. In the 2016 documentary Supersonic, the brothers' mother said "I think there was that bit of jealously with Liam and Noel. Noel was beautiful as a baby and then Liam comes along - it takes the limelight off you". Liam has repeatedly said he wants Oasis to reform whereas Noel says he's done. This rather undermines your assertion that Liam won't admit he needs Noel. In 2019 on Jonathan Ross' show, Liam described Noel as a great songwriter. You're not wrong that Liam is full of himself, but so is Noel. We're not really debating that.
