Noel guitar sound is awesome. The Union Jack guitar is perfect for this concert. There and Then DVD is one of my favorites all time.,

He gave the guitar 🎸 away to some charity.

I was there at Maine Road in 96, 11 years old watching the gig with me dad as my birthday present that year. Fucking biblical. Absolute genius.

All opinion, many hated his 2000/2001 voice, and prefer 94. Some like 96. I say Liam sounds amazing, based on Seattle, Los Angeles, and much recent youtube footage, he continues to return to the 1994 standard. The Seattle show in particular was surreal, it was like seeing them in 1995.

I mean really how good is Noel to even come up with a song like this? He is brilliant. He came up with the lyrics, the melody, and the guitar parts. Pure Genius! Clark Kent-

"Escalating drug abuse" I dunno about Liam now but Noel has been clean from drugs for about 10 years now.

What I'd have given to be 20 back in '96. Best band Britain has produced since the Beatles and there's very few bands who have since bettered Oasis, apart from the Phonics and Kasabian.

Mmmmmh... well, in Fam to millions I think he only had more breath to hold the notes, but the voice was how to say... to "rough", not very pleasant to hear - same problem in 97, but it was a bit more bearable. Then, it got its worst in 2002-2003, with Heathen Chem... Now, ok, he doesn't have much breath, but at least the voice is much "cleaner"...
@Meatball313116 жыл бұрын
he is for sure at his worst now, nut familiar to millions uses auto-tune, which is the reason for the perfectly on pitch notes and well-improved length.

I used 2 think liam's voice was consistently amazing until their peak around 97 and then started 2 get worse from there. But if you consider their performance from FamiliartoMillions in 2000 his voice sounded amazing, much deeper and raspier than earlier but well on key and was able 2 hold the notes very well. I don't get why everyone's saying it's best since 97, I saw them in sept near the START of the tour and not only can he not hold notes he doesn't even attempt them, i think its bad as ever

Did you hear Liam`s voice on the new album, it`s much better, not like in 95` but it`s good. They sound much better live too.
@mingaz8416 жыл бұрын
Ok Andy, ok Gem, but no improvement in sound can replace the loss of Liam's voice (well... and Noel too was pretty better)

Er, yes, it's really from 1996. They were touring / partying pretty hard so his voice was starting to deteriorate.

Classic stuff here! Please guys reunite. Missed my chances to see them live here stateside. I won't miss them again if they reunite

Normally I don't respond to sentences that are less than 50% English, however having seen Oasis live twice in the past few months, I have to attest that Liam's voice is far from "broken" and that the new songs stand their ground alongside the old ones. Waiting for the Rapture live @ Staples was on of the hardest hitting rock songs I've ever heard; and this is to say nothing of The Shock of the Lightning. Your opinion is yours, that said, though.
@mingaz8416 жыл бұрын
Mmmh... yes, it's true he's at his best since 1997... but he can't hold a whole sentence without leavin the mic! Just hear the concert in Toronto: the voice is ok, but he's breathless! Instead, Noel is perfect... and of course, the sound's never been so powerful!
