Beautiful and practical design. It seems that the veil blocks out the artificial sun when night comes so that the plants and water can folow their cicles normaly and practicaly, saving oxigen from the plants to keep the underwater life thriving and evaporated water ,feeding it back to the plants and the lake and can be saved from trampeling mobs . Genius.
