This is why I always preferred laser tag. You get hit and your gun turns off, which is an excellent way to prevent cheating. In airsoft you just have to trust that everyone will follow the rules.

I'll never forget one time when I flanked to the opposite side of the map from my spawn, there was a sniper camping and I plugged two shots into him. He didn't see where it came from, and even though he visibly winced from the shots he just kept on playing and didn't call the hit Since I still had the perfect line of fire on him I just went "alright fucker if that's how you want to play," flipped the gun to full auto and just unloaded at least 15 shots into him. Airsoft bullets are little plastic projectiles (unlike BB guns which use metal). You can literally compare them to the beads you put on a home made bracelet (depending on what type of ammo/size you’re using). In fact, bracelet beads are probably bigger. Many times people don’t feel when they are shot. Especially when they are wearing more than one layer of clothing, let alone tactical gear. Anyone who becomes annoyed by getting shot multiple times with an airsoft gun when they should expect that in an airsoft game is literally weak. Don’t play airsoft if you can’t handle getting shot by airsoft guns.

Airsoft is basically the irl version of fps games with a multitude of game modes to play using guns that shoot bb bullets instead of real ones (obviously). And you're right, they're complaining about getting shot even though they're playing this type of sport. It's really pathetic, unless you get full auto'd by a damn PolarStar for something random and dumb, you have no right to complain about getting shot at all, like, just walk it off. Note that getting shot by bb bullets do hurt a little so it's mandatory to wear protective gear, especially around the eyes and any other vital parts. Point is, if you can't handle getting shot 2-6 rounds on the chest when it only hit your Kevlar? Then get out, the sport is not for you.
