The best thing about Alakesh is that he does not do music as a profession. He is a responsible artist and has been doing his bit towards creating good art, unlike most other musicians who are making content in the name of art. Alakesh is not in a race, he will make art in his own pace, taking his time unlike releasing multiple million view worthy shit in a single calendar year so as to be able to be recommended by algorithms. These people are not artists, nor what they do is art. Alakesh is an artist and he has always been very sincere towards what he does. I am not bragging here, I have been following his music since 2014. Only a handful of his songs have seen KZbin. I am happy that he does not have to depend on music to financially sustain him, otherwise the kind of people we been seeing in the scene these days, making reels, doing bts videos, which in turn has done nothing else but brought down the quality of what is being created. I think I came across his songs for the first time a few months before this interview was shot. His music is not for all moods, emotions and time, but it is unique for sure from an Assamese cultural perspective. People have to experience a few other genres, musically and emotionally first to understand and feel his creations. I love his songs and can see how his songs relate to and are inspired from music from other genres. He is an observant person and as such he brings that cross-cultural experience to be a true musician. And we are fortunate enough today to have been exposed to his natural talent. Talents like him need their own space and time to realize their actual potential and not be pushed by social pressure to push out unfinished content.

Been listening to Alakesh Dutta's Songs since last five years.His music is saturated with selective collection of words that reflects an image and it stands as another milestone in the current meta of assamese music. Our generation is seeking for a change.In my view he is the first ever assamese psychedelic musician who resembles the iconic David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. The song HERUWAI EI PRITHIVI by Alakesh Dutta holds a psychedelic decoration like the song BRAIN DAMAGE by Pink Floyd.So far it is fair enough to have him amongst us and the unique way of his Composition. What a raw talent, but unfortunately won't get the due love and admiration from the people of Assam, because Assamese ears are so much used to 'Teliya Axomiya Gaan'. As compared to other videos, this video has so much fewer views. We really need to evolve as listeners and be open to raw, unfiltered artists like these. This guy sings from his gut! Thanks to Ojantric team for inviting this great artist..his songs are really very different.,his “Heruwa eei prithibit’’with the buffallo like flute I can relate to the old traditional music of Nagaland specially from Wokha district what I heard...due to his relation to folk artist of European may be..Yudi has slighitly got the hints of listening this type of music somewhere...ie Naga old traditional village music
