Pongal is a favorite South Indian dish usually made with Rice and Moong Dhal.
This recipe is made of Oats replacing the Rice and Greengram replacing the moong dhal.
Oats is rich in fiber and greengram with the skin is loaded with protein and fiber.

For 1 cup of oats and 1/2 cup of green gram:
It is preferable to cook with 3 cups of milk rather water, as the oats tastes and cooks mushy in milk.
If your oats is still not overcooked, add appropriate water.
For Risotto - add olive oil replacing Ghee. You are sure to LOVE THIS.
