380 or 480 - just incredible! Years ago my grandmother had a wood fired cook stove and a cauldron in a huge fireplace in the kitchen. The Kitchen Queen stoves are the most well constructed and efficient I've ever seen.

Are they good to use for hone heating, does it heat efficiently?

I have 2 agree with the ole boy about no grate just a pan in oven? Also noticed the pan drawers are not of quality for sliding open n closed. With such attention to detail u would think that a little more effort would be appreciated. You two did a pretty darn good job of showing off the goods. Thanks.

Should have another heating source beside cookstove if able. So smaller firebox size nicer as have finer control with kindling. Seen older kitchen stoves in Sweden with very small fireboxes and normal size oven. Owner said heated up kitchen and living room. House used porcelsin tile stoves for other rooms though think wood boiler radiator popular also. I like Rosa best. To me can heat up a small temperature change, maybe difference between 375 and 400 getting an ideal temperature selection for cooking -without starting on alot of large high heat output wood. Why chefs like induction cooktop ranges. I like idea of larger cooktop but don't want to feel heat from large firebox if searing or stir fry.

I am looking to buy a Nordica here in Chile. I would love a kitchen queen but they just do not have them here. Thanks for the review.

I ended up buying a MDS which is a serbian wood cook stove. It looks just like the La Nordica and has the exact same interior design. I wonder if the MDS makes the stoves for La Nordica. It even has water heating. It may be a knock off but I like it a lot and it seems to work well. I wonder if Obidia has heard of these MDS stoves?

I am considering putting a cook stove in the house, have an antique one in the garage. I like the large firebox in the KQ over the antique stove. The one question I do have is, since the clean out port at the bottom of the oven is in the rear of the stove, and with the stove in a zero clearance situation like shown in the video, how hard is it to clean out under the oven? Where I want to install the stove would be in a cove situation and would be difficult to access the rear of the stove.

That is certainly a difficulty with a zero-clearance installation on the KQ and one that we unfortunately overlooked while making this video. Both the Esse Ironheart and the La Rosa have front-facing cleanouts, but if you like the overall style of the KQ, you should give the Obadiah's 2000 model a look. It has a similar aesthetic, offers a front-facing cleanout, and has a sizeable firebox. We'll have some video reviews online soon, but for now you can check out more info here: woodstoves.net/cookstoves/2000-obadiahs-heco-wood-burning-cook-stove.htm . And please feel free to email or give us a call if you have any questions!

Thank you for your response. I do like the looks of the 200 and I also checked out the Heco 520. When the time comes I will give you a call.

Wow, the Esse is a top notch wood cook stove and of the highest quality. Taking nothing away from the other two, I think you did a disservice to it.

I concur with everything said! Goes for the 480 as well.

Very informative, thanks. Sorry if I missed it, but what are the two stove fans? The one on the left is huge!
@ObadiahsWoodstovesTroy7 жыл бұрын
That is a Stirling Engine Fan called a FreeBreeze and the other is a Thermoelctric fan called a ECO Fan and we offer them here www.stove-parts.net/Stove_Fans_s/44.htm

Unreasonable comparison. You did not light the 2 European stoves do its difficult to fathom your reasoning of build quality vs performance.

Feel free to check out our other videos of those models with the stove burning.
