I was working at Wetherspoons then - I half expected to see myself popping out of the kitchen door with a rubbish bag! Glad you caught the tide in - Oban harbour looks much better when it is!

It was just a bit further down the road - you can glimpse the top of it on the left whilst climbing Jacobs Ladder 😀

I worked in the great western hotel on the esplanade from 1972 to 1975 Oban was a fantastic fishing town sadly now it far to commercial and to many tourists
