I'M SO HAPPY THAT YOU GUYS ACTUALLY REMEMBER THE GENYA BACKSTORY, it was enfuriating the amount of reactors that forgot about it, yeah Genya wanted to apologize to Sanemi for calling him a monster and it's obvious that Sanemi hates the idea of Genya being a demon slayer but it feels like there's a piece of the puzzle we are missing because Sanemi seemed extremely furious when Genya mentioned that he eats demons to get stronger

I think it's more the fact that he killed his mom and rejects the idea that someone can be part demon and still exist in society. If that is the case maybe he'd feel some type of guilt for killing her because maybe she didn't have to die. His whole thing is to attack without hesitation and thought. He doesn't think twice and his whole being is based off that. I think that's why he attacked nezuko. In his mind it's no indecisiveness when it comes to demons, they must all die

If Sanemi can sense the eye of Nakime Upper 4 which no one noticed until that time. He would have felt Tanjiro's presence too. It's just that if he shows love then Genya would never leave his side.
