I have the previous model the X431 PROS V, it paid for itself the first day. Initialised and calibrated Steering Angle Sensor, Cleared SRS codes, matched new keys and ruled out transmission problems. I wish I bought one years ago.

@@warrantyvoid100 that's the one I got 3 days ago and sent back the next morning because I thought it was counterfeit because it wasn't on the launch USA site and they said anything from Amazon or eBay is fake and that you don't register USA launch products online. Turns out there are some fakes but not from the launch store on Amazon. There's a USA and UK launch and launch Asia and they are not affiliated with USA launch. So their wording was misleading and I thought I had a fake,tried to stop ups the next morning but it was already gone and now I have to order it again. The new one I got came with a can FD connector too for seven seveten,about seven fifty after tax and I'm pissed I sent it back lol. I want the immo elite but it's hard to justify that much unless I was making money with it here and there. But that one is probably the best one for the price out of the ones under eight hundred bucks.

I bought one, along with the portable printer, 3 years ago. They claimed the device could match the dealer tools 95% of the time. Tested all 5 vehicles we have currently registered. Checked them all fine. Took it to work and checked 10 coworkers vehicles, and 5 City vehicles. One of the City vehicles had codes, found a lose connection. Cleared the codes. If the truck had been sent to Central Shops. It would have taken 6-8 weeks to get the truck back. When I tested my coworkers vehicles. I became their hero for at least a day! Got some cash, and lunches. Got my money back. Going to a repair shop, or dealer, with a printout of the codes and operating parameters. Really gets a different response from the service writer. And generally a better repair experience. The only problem is the need for another box for vehicles over 9500gvw. Which more or less doubles the price. Some things I fix myself. So things I pay for someone else to do. But the launch x431 is well worth the money. I have some scan tools that cost about $200-$300 in each of our vehicles. Those are cumbersome to use compared to the Launch x431. The Launch x431 is still a tablet. So you can surf the web while at McDonalds or Starbucks.

The only useful connector in that kit is gonna be the Chrysler 16 pin which allows you to communicated with ORC and ABS. The rest are for non OBD2 compliant vehicles out of country etc. I have one of those massive connector kits and work at a Chrysler dealer... doing the stray airbag recall using an aftermarket tool and the special connector is way faster then using the DRB LOL

I think what you have to really think about is what tool has better support launch name Brand has been around for a long time and launch is carried on a lot of the major tool trucks

​@@FordBossMeone thing you have to know is that,there's launch USA and UK and there's launch Asia which is not affiliated with launch USA and has scanner models launch USA doesn't and launch USA will not service or warranty the Asia market models and they eve say if you send it to them they'll keep them and destroy them. Launch USA told me none of their tools update or register online and are ready out of the box So my friend,yours along with alot of others on KZbin are the Asian models. If you made your profile on the website with English and Chinese writing,then it's the Asian model and why it wasn't double the price.

Great tool , been using the pro + V for close to two years now . So why is most of the video black screen ? All i have is audio throughout most past the intro where you prepping to go outside …… Yes I had that on my 07 silverado The sensors get corrosive chemicals in them and they corrode and quit working . The passenger presence system turned out to be a corroded fuse in the underhood fuse panel on my truck . The fuse was visually ok it failed continuity test . Also found many others corroded as well and relay terminals also . Total of 6 bad fuses found and replaced and then removed every fuse and relay and applied Truck Lite NYK77” corrosion preventive compound to each and every terminal using q-tips to help get it into the connector .

Launch changes scantools like we change undewear. The problem with all scantools is the stuff it claims it can do , you dont know if it can do it unless you know the car should have the function and it works. What them tools usually Do is say This function is not available . Launch is Good on toyota and nissan. For Vw it was the worst tool ever in 2014 so much so that i do not have the vw Software on my i,diag launch one of many of the tools they made .

Even seasoned master techs will tell you no 1 scanner is gonna do everything great and you'll usually need 2 or 3. But lol,the pad v from launch that's $2000 seems like it sure as hell does everything lol.

@@darknature79 The problem lies in seems to do Having said that i reset the learn value on a Toyota Ractis with the snapon modis and it then had a yaw rate sensor learn error. The idiag launch was able to relearn it. The fact is just because a scantool claims it can do something does not mean it is doing it . What you usually get is this function is not available on this vehicle. like the launch could not command the bcm on a astra G Holden=GM product but its a function as i clearly command it with the gm-tech2

@@FordBossMe I think they just say it can for marketing reasons . Maybe theres a small group of makes that kg can do it for but I know it didn’t work for a 1993 BMW and a 1990 S10 blazer . Overall I love my launch since I hardly ever work on stuff older then 10 years it’s no big deal for me lol

If you guys need something to work on older vehicles, you can get a SnapOn MT2500 really cheap from a site like ebay. It comes just about any adapter you'll need and its very easy to use. The only thing you have to watch out for is the cartridges. If I remember correctly, it comes with ones for American made vehicles, but foreign is extra. Old scanners were not very user friendly, so if you're not a seasoned tech, they can be very challenging. If you have a basic understanding of what you're trying to do, you shouldn't have any trouble figuring out how to use it.
