Tina Šetkić is the daughter of parents who escaped from Bosnia and Herzegovina, more precisely Republika Srpska, in the second half of 1990-2000. They are Serbs. During the Second World War, the Ustashas killed 28 members of the Šetkić family in Nova Gradiška. Just enough for Šetići to move to France and avoid suffering in the nineties. In 1999, they gave birth to Tina.

There is a bass player, I forget his name. it was added in the studio. These songs were based on Tinas compositions. Everyone wants her to play 70's rock, but these kids are in their 20s and this is the music they like. It sounds like early 2000s rock to me. Im just glad she is back in the music scene. 🙂

I think they did a great job, especially considering all the expectations. I've been supporting Tina since she was 8 and will continue to do so. After such a long hiatus I'm just glad she's alive, happy, and still playing guitar. If you want to see her shredding a little more, she did release an IG playing a solo thats in one of the other songs on the EP.

I know lots of old Tina S may be disappointed, but personaly, I think it's great she's got a band and I really like the tracks they've released. To my ears, the singer's voice reminds a bit of Chester Bennington - but maybe that's just me :o)

There is something in the background you hear more than just the electric guitar, I don't know if it's bass or keyboard. But something else that is not visible in the video, then we will always love her and hope that things will go well for her in the future

I love this song, I believe Tina didn’t want to put the other band members in the shadows with an amazing guitar solo for the band introduction. Maybe she will grant us this sometimes later. And she composed it, this is a very convincing start aso on this side.

Most bands with one guitarist just play backtracks of one or multiple guitar layers during concerts and the guitarist chose another layer to play live. Same goes with vocalists. Good example would be Jinjer, who are incredible live. BTW If you haven't heard them, I highly recommend to start with "Pisces Live Session". Your minds will be blown.

I love her return. She has nothing to prove, we know she is a virtuoso, the singer has a great voice (he is french), the music is catchy and concerning the guitar you can hear the track is complex. Hope they will go far.

Spin Twice ex-band CHASING DAISY with singer Thomas Smagghe. The band stopped in June 2023. Bassist Marion left and stopped playing, drummer left. SPIN TWICE is a group of people who have never played together. The drummer Augustin Bauer mainly plays in the studio for lots of bands. The old group never worked well for audiences.

Okay, I stopped the video at 4:29. I'm so heart broken. I was such a Tina_S fan. I was also very realistic, she was doing covers, and while I thought they were very technically profficiant, I also thought they lacked soul. Too many people were saying 'she's a musical genius', blah blah blah,, but she was just doing covers! And then we get this. The singer could be a great singer from 20 to 30 years ago. And he overrides the rest of the band. I can barely even hear the guitar or drums, was there a bass? So freaking generic rock sounding, nothing special at all. Damn. And I mean I don't think you could make a sound more generically blah then this. It's fucking sad.

Its catchy and you can clearly hear a lot of interesting musical layering going on. It was Tina herself who intentionally made the decision to write simpler music. She has done the shredding stuff for years. It was time to try something else. Also its a good thing that she doesnt force herself onto a band and lets them shine in a song that simply does not need ridiculous guitar work

I liked the old Tina much better. She was the lead. Now she is hushed into the East of a loud band and she no longer stands out. All of that talent wasted on this. If I want to hear her play I will just rewatch the old stuff. Seems she did not get very good guidance over her later teen years. She ended up just another girl playing guitar with a band.

As a musician who wants to evolve you just HAVE TO be able to stand back. Especially in a band. You have to serve the song which she does perfectly. She made the concious decision to not center the songs around herself. Her virtuoso days where the spotlight was only on her are over. And thats a good thing. The virtuoso stuff might come back for a solo or two in the future but with this stuff shes showing that shes actually versatile and not just good at one thing

This song was typical new aged garbage in my opinion.. It did not put any emotion or emphasis on Tina's true skills at all.. Tina should be carrying this band but she buried herself in some emo trash.. Disappointed at the least
