According to their Spotify profile, Tina founded Spin Twice last year with the singer, then they were soon joined by the drummer. No mention of the bassist there, but he's in the credits of this song. The profile also implies that the songs are based on Tina's compositions. I was well aware that in the past she only played covers, so I had no expectations towards her original work. I think it is a very decent debut single. Other's commented that they feel Linkin Park vibes, which I can relate to. The EP has two more songs, but there are no videos for those. An interview of Tina S has been released in the french Guitar Extreme Magazine and she confirms that she is the one composing songs for the band. This is her new focus and she hreatly enjoys it. She is not against adding more techincal parts but said it has to serve the song and not compromise its "integrity". She also said that they had a bassist for the EP studio recorded recording and is not against adding a bassist to the band but they have to find a good match for this to happen.

Tina is back rockin! It seams strange to some people hearing her play music like this, but they have to understand, these kids are in their 20s and this is what they like. I think it sounds great, like early 2000s rock and it sounds better every time you hear it. The songs in this EP are based on Tinas compositions. p.s. Tina just uploaded a short on youtube of her sitting and doing a little jamming on her guitar. 🙂

This was my 300th (perhaps more) listen and it just occurred to me that the 'local' bands that play in the bars, high school dances, the CYC'c, etc. , should they want to cover this and she put in a solo that only 9 musicians in the world can play, it wouldn't be a popular cover tune just by virtue of embarrassing the lead guitar player. Not only is it a well produced and clever song but it's playable by others without the super-human guitar skills. see Tina S , school girl age. Lots of expletives recited after viewing those little beauties. I was sure a "Mothership' dropped her off and then whisked her back to her planet. So happy she is still playing !

Hi Richard, thank you for your honest and respectful review. I too have been following Tina from the beginning and can only fully agree with your assessment. Sure we all have been waiting for incredible solos, but the most important thing is to see that Tina has arrived where she is happy. She no longer has to prove to anyone how good she is. The band, the music choice is so right and hope to see much more of it. Tina is back? Yes! For me in a beautiful way.
