After watching this for a while, I'm beginning to theorize that bed comfort has something to do with how much mental health replenishes when you're asleep. I'm basing this off of nothing solid, just gut feeling. It would make logical sense, at least.

It's a thing 100%. There's a lot going into the overall mood and the consistently mediocre bed and bland food aren't helping things along. Realistically, I suspect we'd be looking at an average 60-70% mood on a "good" day without addictions clawing at our sanity.

@@ClosetYeti My char lost addictions early using sauna, now all food and drinks bland but my mental is fine, sleeping in bunk bed, not in tenement.

Lockpicks are crafted at a workbench I think. I think it was 1 scrap metal. Seems like living out of Mr ducks house is the best bet till you get better stuff. Loving the playthrough. This game is very different.

Tried throwing some on the workbench to see if much would pop up, but I think I would need a specialist bench. The workbench isn't terribly fancy

@@ClosetYeti I swear I saw you able to craft one before. So I rewatched some old videos. Ep 5 10:30 Tools stall can carry lockpicks. Also theres a metal work bench in one of the tenaments you can use. So maybe there?

0:35 odd, this lady was last good food spot for me. its bland now. maybe later it will not be bland, so you wont eat same and same food. you have to eat something else. i dont want to suggest mushrooms. they look suspicious. i started with shroom addiction and lost it after few days. loading screen mentions that mushrooms change your diet. havent figured out how.

I assumed it meant you crave the mushroom-laden foods more / the oddball things like cat and rat meat. A mystery!
