What a wonderful series of videos - thank you for your time and effort in sharing! I am going through the same process, on and off for a while now, with an OB-Xa, so looking forward to the next video, to see what issues you come across. See you soon...

Francesco Goldoni I’m so sorry! This year was difficult. I am also planning a series of videos where I just explain how synth circuits work and they should be a lot quicker and easier to produce. I will continue with this series as well, hopefully I am quicker to release videos from now on.

Hello, I have an Oberheim Ob8. I need the Oberheim Ob8 ribbon cables from the processor board. Can you help me find it? thank you.

Great video! Have you ever noticed the differences in decals across the OB-X? The majority of them seem to have the oberheim logo on the right hand side above the last octave, but yours and one other I've seen on youtube has just an "ob x" decal there. The majority say OBX on the top left of the keyboard, I've seen one with a big oberheim logo on the top as well. Wonder if yours is an early model? upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/78/Oberheim_OB-X.jpg

Pretty cool. What is the type of grease on the bushings? The ones I get are dry.

Hey Golt! How come the Pratt Read keybed has such problem with keys becoming un-leveled? Is there any of these keybeds that do not have that issue?
@GOLTSYNTH5 жыл бұрын
corner liston As far as I know, most if not all Pratt Read keybeds used in synths have that issue. The posts that are used for the key stops aren’t very strong. It was a design fault.
@cornerliston5 жыл бұрын
@@GOLTSYNTH Oh right! the key stop posts! Well, good they don't fall off completely at the least : ) Looking forward watching part 3.

Hey man, awesome video. Question for you: I recently got an OB-X and the LEDs seem to have a shimmering, almost blinking quality to them. The synth completely works 100% except that the LEDs have this slight issue. Are your LEDs nice and steady or do they blink a bit? Here’s a video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5bFZnawbNWWg5Y
