Ironically, her having too much free time may be her downfall. When you're busy, you don't have all that time to wallow in self-pity, think about food, obsess about what you're going to eat next. All she has are the four walls, food, and waiting until her current "girlfriend" will show up and give her attention.

@@mynameisix nah for me it was the opposite. If you haven’t been a petite female and carried extra weight, spoiler alert, your life is physical pain. No matter what you do, whether it is sitting in a chair or a PE class you will hurt. Only 5 left till the "healthy range!"". And the mirror just asks: "Uhm... are you sure? I think you look the same as 25kg ago...!" And it drives me crazy. Last week i wanted to get some new thermo underwear for hiking in the winter. And i wasn't ready, to see myself in a stores mirror. So i guessed. I still wear my 4xl pants (that have always been a bit to big, but... i like it oversized and comfy, so that never bothered me), so i chose 2xl. And at home i tried them. Way to big. It is so frusteating to have just no clue about your own body and how it REALLY looks.

And it works both ways - I convinced myself for YEARS that I was at least close to thin while I was eating myself into obesity. I think part of it might have been buying into the fat activist argument that "small fat" basically isn't fat at all. Now that I've lost 40 pounds and am back in the "normal" BMI range (as of today, woohoo!) *and* have been both weighing myself daily and taking measurements pictures to track the body changes weekly I'm amazed at how much my brain and trick me - sometimes I still don't see much of a difference which is crazy. If you're dedicated to weight loss having multiple ways to track and keep yourself grounded in quantifiable reality is key!

Weighing every ingredient etc Then, I think at first she would lose followers. Those would be the fetishists who want to see her eat herself to death. But then, she would get new followers. Amber has admitted that when she is gaining, she just stops getting on the scale. I was wondering why she is comparing her highest weight to now? Why is she saying she looked so much bigger than now unless she is at or close to her highest weight. Another difference between Candy and Amber is that Amber has claimed that if YT went away she could get a job somewhere else. Candy has said she knows that what she has done to herself/her body means she cannot earn money any other way.

That kind of misplaced anger speaks to disfunction in the commenters. Anyone needing to cut down someone who is already low is pathetic in their desperation to please others.

The body dysmorphia thing is so relatable. All my life I've heard that people with skinny EDs see themselves as fat, but not once have I ever heard that some obese people see themselves as smaller. I was always cognizant of my weight, but there was a disconnect between that knowledge and an awareness of how much space I actually took up, how I looked to others. I would often point out other large people and ask my husband if I looked like that - is that how I'm shaped. I have always been proportional (big chest, smaller waist, big hips) and jokingly referred to myself as Barbie gone haywire, and I think that, along with a lifetime of ambiguous information from family growing up, warped my ability to accurately see myself. When I got underwear that actually fit, I would always be shocked to see how large it was, thinking I was pulling a tshirt out of the dryer, not panties. Now, 140lbs lighter, I still have no accurate concept of my size. When I shop for clothes, I just go to the size I think will fit, then grab one 2 sizes smaller. When I do laundry, I get weirded out because we don't have kids so why do we have all these children's clothes. I'm currently 170lbs - obviously still obese, still working on my health - and the fact my wardrobe has sizes Small to XXL in it doesn't help me accurately perceive my body at all. No picture or mirror helps. It took breaking my recliner arms off because I couldn't stand up without pushing on them to be the catalyst for change, and even then, I couldn't try to lose weight, I could only try to get stronger. I couldn't say diet, I could only focus on trying to get healthier food in, food to fuel my muscles. All my life I've felt destined to be obese and heard how impossible losing weight is, how everyone fails at diets, so it was never something I could set as a goal until I had shown enough discipline with exercise to believe I could have some control over what I eat. There are millions of ways to make money, to earn a living, that do not have anything to do with social media or weight, but people always default to what they know, what is easier for them because it is familiar. It's just insulting to say you have to damage yourself for other's entertainment to survive.

These flaws are often unnoticeable to others. People of any age can have BDD, but it's most common in teenagers and young adults." this is from the NHS site, but other similar sites will have more or less the same definition. there is no way that thinking she is smaller than she is could possibly fit into this definition, unless she thinks being smaller would make her look worse (not to mention that others definitely would notice her weight being as high as it is), so she doesn't have it, and no medical professional would ever diagnose her with it based on how she describes this issue.

yeah, "comfortability" and "uncomfortability" are definitely not words. i have only this year heard people start saying this, idk where it comes from. the actual words would indeed be comfort and discomfort- you're the only person i've seen correct it so far, thanks for that 👍

I just found your videos today. I really respect you being real about obesity , and being a realist on “body positivity” that is killing our society. I’ve never been over 140 pounds in my life. Im a women at 120lbs and im 5 3’ , but over the years I’ve seen women change and the standards have definitely changed. To the point where it’s almost hard to find clothes for thinner women. It makes me concerned about the future as well. Its gross to be honest. Our society needs to stop this fake shit and be real about health.

Amber's lack of confidence makes her take everyone's opinion as factual information and also latch onto others for a sense of identity

I think by 'knee muscles', she means the lower quads, which will cane if you're not used to stair climbing

Do Amber forget that KZbin is her career/job? If we expected our colleagues and boss to be happy at every private things we share with them, we will be told off that it is inappropriate. Not to mention, she expects us to be considerate of her taking long leaves without any explanations. Yup, try doing that in an actual job and see how fast you get fired. Sheesh, grow up Amber!

She could protect her mental health by setting boundaries about comments/instagram/reaction channels but she prefers to be a victim.

Its a lie that Amber has always been honest about her weight like she said in this video. In one of her "confession" videos she admits that whenever people ask her if she's gained weight she lies and says that she is losing even when the opposite of that is true because she doesn't want the criticism. If she can't be honest about something that she's already confessed to why on earth would anyone believe anything that she says now? Amber loves to rewrite history even extremely recent history and she seems to think that if it's been a month or two no matter what horrobl thing she's done or lied about, she should just be let off the hook and everyone should just move on even though she's never taken accountability or apologized. I think that Amber deos have some moment's of clarity but she pushes it aside for the fantasy bubble she chooses to live in. Then she blames her audience whenever they point that out and accuses them of bullying her. I believe that Amber actually is the villain in her own story but like always she only ever sees herself as the eternal victim. She's out here acting like she has no idea why she is so disliked but she knows what she's done. She'll never admit it but she knows.

Your last statement on here is spot on- if you don't want this much attention payed to this subject, why do you keep giving it this attention? I mean come on, Amberlynn thrives on this. Deja Vu.

John can you check out the Dougherty dozen? I think they’re like a family of 12 online and they eat mostly processed foods and I think the complicated part is how to feed such a big family in a costly way while still being healthy.,. just curious to know your thoughts on them!

I really don't buy that Amberlynn's life is an absolute -chaotic- hectic mess in every area except she's completely on top of her finances.

Amberlynn is frustrating. I want her to be healthy. Hell, I wish I could help her… but she will never be able to help herself. She’s too deluded into these manufactured relationships. Emily will be the final straw that broke the camel’s back
