At the beginning, while anakin was waiting for Obi wan, the big building he stared at 500 republica is where Padme live. Also George Lucas said that a fully heal Anakin had the potential to be 3times stronger than Palpatine, but with his injury he is only 80℅ of Palpatine, imagine how strong that will be, even dooku in Clone wars when he fought Obi and Anakin, dooku said that a padawan Anakin is better than obi wan at lightsaber fighting but obi master his defense during clone Wars and the overconfidence of anakin and his lack of experience in the dark side hinder him a lot and he lost in mustafar....

Anakin being aware of Reva's desire to kill him tracks pretty well when you consider the desire to kill your boss is pretty normal for Dark Siders... I'm pretty sure Palpatine sees it as a feature rather than a bug, given it keeps the Inquisitors fighting amongst themselves instead of teaming up against him.

I’ve watched every reaction video I could find to this episode and I think you’re the first person I’ve seen to actually verbalize the significance of Obi-Wan telling Padawan Anakin that his need for victory blinds him and Darth Vader falling for the decoy ship right when it happened.

A lot of people point out how they don't finish Reva off. I tend to look at it like they don't even bother, because they don't even consider her a threat, like she's not even worth killing.

I thought of it the same way, they threw her back in the gutter, just as Anakin thought he did when he impaled her during order 66. But also, it could be interpreted that he just wanted her to suffer, killing her immediately wouldn't do that

That's just dumb if so. I mean anakin and the GI literally have experience in knowing how realistic it is to survive that. Vader can literally wave his finger and snap her neck like he did to the kid in episode 3. It's just lazy writing.

I’ve watched alot of reaction videos on this episode and I feel like you guys by far had the best reaction that I’ve seen. So many star wars fans are “tunnel vision” (similar to the lesson Obiwan tries to teach Anakin in the flashbacks in this episode) on certain things that annoy them (de-aging, Reva hate, etc). All I care about is the story. Star Wars always likes to be mysterious and leave little clues along the way. The key to enjoying star wars, as Obiwan would say, is “patience”. It will all be revealed once we get the full story. I can tell you guys enjoy the journey and appreciate the story so thanks for that. I feel for Reva too and I felt this was a great episode for her. I hope she lives but she’s chosen a dangerous path. I get serious Maul vibes with her. I fear that’s her only path to survive. She has crossed the Sith but cannot be trusted by the jedi. She seems destined to die trying to get revenge…but can you imagine what it would be like if she managed to team up with Maul?? She wants revenge on Vader, he wants revenge on Sidious. I vote for Maul, Reva, Qi’ra, and Crimson Dawn vs Sidious, Vader, and the inquisitors! That would certainly keep the empire distracted during a pre-Rebels period while Organa & Mon Mothma are trying to set up the Rebellion. It would also allow Obiwan to get some peace and quiet to watch over Luke. Imagine if they chose this story for a continuation of the Obiwan series. Anyone else like the idea?

We see Maul escaping Ahsoka’s ship at the end of Clone Wars, don’t see him again till Malachor in Rebels. Big gap in time other than his brief cameo in Solo when he tells Qi’ra to come to Dathomir. I feel like Maul would take any chance he could get to go back at Sidious after Savage was killed. Maul already wanted revenge on Sidious then he absolutely got humiliated by him on Mandalore once he finally started to build up some strength. They gotta figure out a way for Maul to get one more shot at Sidious, doesn’t need to be a direct confrontation. Let Maul do something that screws up Sidious’ plans. Maybe Sidious has Grogu at the cloning facility, Maul finds out somehow and steals Grogu. Maybe Maul loses Grogu in the process but atleast it keeps him away from Sidious? 🤷‍♂️

I think it is not just Anakin/Vader's relationship with Obi-Wan specifically, but his anger and/or arrogance that blinds him that he goes after what he wants full-force (no pun intended). With Reva, Vader is not angry, but is using her to get what he wants. It is interesting, though, seeing the parallel that Reva was blinded by anger too and just went full-force on that attack at Vader while Vader was the calm one. I wonder if this will be Obi-Wan's last encounter with Leia or if he will keep being in her life for a while. In A New Hope, Leia's message to Obi-Wan for help sounded like she had to remind him who she was to get him to help. But, I am actually okay if that gets retconned and Obi-Wan ends up being a sort-of uncle to Leia for a while. I wonder if Vader's mechanical suit actually helped stabilize him when he used The Force to pull that ship down. We see others (like Ahsoka) be pulled forward a bit when they try to Force-pull a ship down.

I think Reva is going full darkside now. She's angry at Anakin for destroying the Jedi Order, she's angry at Obi-Wan for betraying her twice now in her eyes. The Skywalker children are the perfect way for her to get revenge on BOTH parties at once.

Another thing to note about the "lessons" Vader learned from Obi-Wan in the flashback combat -- if you watch the fight between Reva and Vader (after he gives her half of her lightsaber and he finally understands Obi-Wan's lessons from his memory/flashback), Reva attacks offensively like Anakin, and Vader uses Obi-Wan's moves from the flashback to disarm and defeat Reva.

Seeing Hayden aka Anakin as in the prequel flashbacks literally i cried about throughout that scene . But from starting to ending this episode was surreal . 15:54 Vader didn't get weaker on mustafar. The connection to the force isn't affected by missing body limbs in Canon. However, George Lucas said that vader lost potential on Mustafar, and that's likely because of how he's never able to fully commit to either side of the force, which is why Sidious is so frustrated with him.

@@MACReact That's according to Legends (Non-conon comics, games and stuff). That is not the case in canon. In the game jedi fallen order (Canon), it's explained fairly well how the force works. It was something along the line of the force being everywhere, it surrounds everything, it’s in every object and it’s in you, and that the connection to the force (Midichlorians in you) is what makes you able to control a certain object. I look at Midoclorians the same way I look at DNA. Lost body limbs or injuries doesn't change it.

I think If Vader learns about Luke it would not break cannon because the OG films never implied he didn’t know, sure when the emperor learns about it he tells Vader in the film, but Maybe he already knew. Now if he learns about Leia well that will break cannon because he learns about her in his final battle with Luke on Episode 6.

She will go to Tatooine and go after Luke to get revenge on Obi Wan. That is why the episode ended the way it ended, with Obi Wan feeling something bad is coming and with Luke. So it means Luke's life is in danger (even if we know nothing bad will happen to him)

21:33 Reva is pissed at Obi-Wan because his Padawan killed their family. Reva doesn't hate the Jedi--we see her reach out to connect with the wall with with the Jedi emblem on it, and she did what she did to avenge her family. I'm not saying that Reva isn't innocent, but that everything she did was to get her close enough to kill the man who ruined her life. I don't think she wants Obi-Wan dead. She just wants him to hurt in the same way she has. That said, I think her failure might have been part of the plan. Reva has more light than darkness in her, but like Anakin, she was blinded by her need for revenge. Obi-Wan asked her for her help, and she denied him. Her eyes are opened now. She found Bail's message and she is going to figure things out, she's been two steps ahead for much of the story for her not to. I still think she's going to be the one to take Leia home. She started all this, and I think she is going to be the one to make it right. I don't know how, but I think she will. In the episode before this, and the one before that we see her hesitations--the safehouse and while torturing Leia. She didn't want to do the things she was doing, but she had to follow through to kill Darth Vader. She had no allies, so she always had to do things alone. But she has found an ally in Obi-Wan, if she decides to take that chance. I wouldn't be surprised if we see her show up on with a Jedi robe and someone's lightsaber next episode. She's in the room unnecessary gear was left behind. This episode shows that Darth Vader is still the Pawdawn who has a need to prove himself. I'm happy they pointed this out, because it'll help set up their next fight and the line Darth Vader says to Obi-Wan in A New Hope, "When I left you I was but the leaner, now I am the master." Obi-Wan has to do something pretty big next week. Something big enough to make Darth Vader stop looking for him, but also leave Leia and Luke alone. I think Reva will be part of that, but we'll see soon enough.

a lot of the force moves were a reference to the Star wars video game the Force Unleashed. in the game trailer starkiller brought down a star destroyer while it was about to leave the planet. and also slowing the saber down is also a force move in the game on levels there a turbines and stuff that are spinning really fast and starkiller used the force to slow the turbines down. i would highly recommend playing the Force unleashed 1 and 2 great games

That was what kept Maul alive. It also was a factor in Vader surviving his “high ground” defeat. Casual Star Wars fans complain about the double standard on fatal wounds, but dark siders have an advantage in these scenarios. Dark siders gain power from anger/revenge that motivates them to defy death. Jedi are taught to not fear death, to embrace becoming one with the force. Anakin never had a chance as a jedi, the council was right to fear training him because of the feelings they could sense inside him. We saw Anakin consistently seek ways to prevent/deny death throughout his life. It wasn’t possible for him to stay true to the jedi with these thoughts.

Anakin killed the others and she laid with the corpses until they gone. She wasn't there anymore when Yoda and Obi-Wan come to the Temple and find the Younglings bodies.

I don't think it's a redemption arc. She's not redeeming herself. All she's ever wanted was to get close enough to Vader to kill him. Obi-Wan pressured her into rushing her plan so he can get away. If you think about it, Obi-Wan is kind of a dick for using her.

Nah he really isnt, in that moment she still has way more power than he does. He is not trying to kill Vader, he is just trying to save Leia (and also Luke) plus all those innocent refugees. Sure he would feel bad for tempting her like that, but she is guilty of many crimes against innocents and Jedi's, he is making a General's decision. The only move he has to play, with no power in the circumstances.

If you saw Obiwan’s reaction when she told him her Order 66 experience, he clearly feels for her. I think you’re right that this was partly a “General Kenobe negotiation” ploy. But I also feel that he truly would be ok with her succeeding if his distraction plan worked (Obiwan’s escape acting as a distraction to allow her the opportunity for revenge). Obiwan is incapable of killing Vader. He tried to refuse the assignment from Yoda in Revenge of the Sith. He could not bring himself to finish off Anakin after the infamous “high ground” strike. He saw the brutality of Vader on Mapuzo. He knows Vader needs to be stopped but when Reva questions why she should trust Obiwan she says “Really? Do you really want Anakin dead?”. He can’t answer that question. He knows it needs to be done but he can’t do it himself. I feel he really is giving her the chance and allowing the force to decide their fate. Seems like a very Obiwan thing to do in my opinion. He has an attachment to Anakin which clouds his judgement. It is a very Jedi thing to do in these situations to remove yourself from involvement. Kanan does this in Rebels when he puts Ezra in charge of rescuing Hera. Love and devotion are consistent obstacles for the jedi throughout Star Wars, it negatively impacts their decision making. Yoda gets a bad reputation for discouraging this but imagine how many times he saw poor decisions made in his 900 years as a jedi due to love/devotion/attachment. I pity Yoda, that he had to live such a long life while putting the needs of others above his personal desires. It’s too bad Sidious and Vader had to undermine and wipe out everything. It’s really Sidious, but he couldn’t have pulled it off without Vader as his assassin

Great reaction, but I will disagree on a single point by saying Reva is not less redeemable than Vader...who was redeemed in RotJ. He racked up countless atrocities in service to Sidious and the Empire over two decades. Reva did terrible things as part of being in the Inquisitors, but Vader already had a large body count before she'd have gotten to that point with the purpose of avenging her friends. Just saying that absolutes like irredeemable or impossible really shouldn't be used when someone far worse had redemption at the cost of his life.

Anakin was also fully immersed in the darkside!!! Possessed by it! A full Sith!! Revas motivations may be understandable, but ultimately she had much more autonomy than he did!! And even the Inquisitors were unnerved by her extremes and exceptional brutality!!🤷🏻‍♀️
