University? Wow, if they teach this at uni then why am I learning it at A Level which is still highschool?

I wasn't being serious.... I did very well and graduated form a top 10 uni with good marks, the subject area around this was actually Bremner's work but learning about a subject is more then reading through pages and pages of extra material its good to get a break and watch to learn rather then being washed away behind study after study.

how could they interpret what the babies were thinking? just from facial expressions? I saw no differences.

Researchers measure looking time, so it’s usually less about facial expression and more about length of time the baby is looking! If an event is boring/expected, the babies tend to look away sooner. If the event is unexpected/impossible/interesting, babies look longer.

@@kmart1994 Still, there is no way to know back then we had such certainty on this as a fact. That is just an assumption of patterns and the fulfillment of professional psychologists to believe they discovered something. Until now we have AI and computers that can track eye movement over and over to confirm that as 100%, and even like that we do not know what is going through the baby's mind or subconscious.
