In general, keying should be done in After Effects. Film Riot has a great episode from a few years ago about keing. Check it out!

Thanks for your videos. Your explanations are direct and "to the point", which I appreciate! BTW, have you ever considered using a De-Reverb tool to clean up your audio? No offense intended, but the room you record in is very reverberant. I think reducing the reverberation would add an extra level of production to your already great videos. I use Izotope RX 7 Standard, which has amazing audio tools, but I believe the current version of Premiere Pro has a reverb reduction tool. cheers, David

Successfully or not successfully? :) It should work in both cases I think. You may have a situation that requires a few clean plates though.

wow. render times seem even triple than expected. have not tested it though. a classic clean plate/planar tracking approach using mocha is applicable in all examples shown here, minus the last, which seems clean and fast. I have seen some other examples where content aware fill does some magic on its own that cannot be achieved with a single clean plate and single mask tracking, BUT, it is never good enough for commercial projects. Render times, fine tuning ability and interactivity, also enhance creativity, easiness is just one factor. Content aware fill seems easy, but learning how to do things properly using clever combinations of simple tools, is always easier (you do not have to wait for a tool), more versatile and above all, makes you each time wiser.

I can see your point. Definitely mocha is better but it's also much harder to learn to use it properly. But for proffesional applications you're 100% right, man :) still I'm glad we have this feature.

@@cttp yes. still, planar tracking (or mesh warp tracking) with ability to paste transformation data into objects as an effect (it is just an infinite plane corner pin, jesus christ), should have been added ages ago. this tool actually includes it, but way below the surface, which makes it untweakable. should definitely give this tool a try and come back. i am a huge supporter of adobe (especially since 5.5 mercury engine released) and have brought hundreds of people in it (and away from macs). that is why i would like them to be a bit smarter and not flashier. because they have proved to be in the past (5.5, again).

Yeah, to me it feels sometimes like they want to simplify stuff in Premiere for entry-level users. Like sometimes they forget that it's Pro version (once Elements is no longer the case). But it may be a double-sided sword with Resolve over the horizon. Hopefully, they will focus on Pro users and advanced that we need.

@@cttp you are again (cut) to the point. they do the same with photoshop (all this annoying learn photoshop interface with images on hover, etc.) as if there are no 'elements' version, like you said. that is weird. they may think that non pro (or, better, non pro pro) volume of clients is way bigger and will bring more money. apple has been doing that for years, with the known results.
