What I always felt is sexuality is natural. So to demand people to leave it out of their art you are asking to leave out a part of being human. To limit that part of expression is also very oppressive. As long as the message is "See your fellow human being as just a commodity." I think it does no harm. As you said, it is the objectification exists in individual.

dude i've been accused of sexually objectifying with my art and I know thats not what my art is intended to do. I agree with you on literally all the points and i couldn't have said it better myself.

I think you may have meant to type that it's 'not' what you intended to do with your art. But yeah, it's not a pleasant accusation.

I think it's disgusting that people think sexual appreciation is automatically like treating a person like nothing more than a lifeless object. It's so sad to deny someone's sexuality like that. People are allowed to appreciate something of sexual content without degrading the subject to an object. It just seems like projection to me, that they are the ones that see people in erotic scenes as nothing more than objects.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I've often asked people "how can you call something objectifying without first objectifying it?" and they typically just tell me I'm stupid or wrong.

When I've been in these kind of conversations, it has been interesting to note that it's always women that are being objectified, not men. Even when I show some very explicit yaoi fanart of some popular manga or anime series, Boku no hero academia for example. Others always argue to me that 'Oh no that's love' even though the characters themselves are not even gay. So there's an interesting double standard on the whole subject matter. But my stance on this matter is as follows; where does the objectification happen? In between your ears. So if you perceive objectification where it's not intended to, then you yourself are the objectifier. And some people have a kink for objectifying, so should we kink shame them for it if it occurs in fiction?

Even if you're objectifying people in your art, what's the problem? If you wanna draw lots of men and women just having a gangbang without any deeper meaning to it, then why not? It's just art! Just look at those japanese horror mangas with gruesome and even erotic scenes, people are obviously being objectified in that, but they look cool and it is what it is, art! That doesn't necessarily turn you into some kind of jerk that will treat people like objects in real life, if you have the capacity to discern between fiction and the real world you'll be fine (otherwise you may suffer from psicosis or something)
