That a great tip about comicbook covers, what I really can't stand what people do in comics is variant covers. Like you said, they would make something on the cover that never happens in the book and what comes to mind are variant covers. IMHO, variant covers are the worst way to do on a comic and have absolutely no purpose at all except for a pointless cash-grab. Variant covers suck because they are always misleading and a waste of reading, because comics are meant to be read, not for gathering dust and wore out pages. That is why when I start on my graphic novel series, instead of wasting money doing a single comic of covers A-Z, my covers will be straight forward and simple.

I recently bought one but can’t seem to get it to work too well. It came with a brush that holds the water and I’m thinking the brush isn’t getting wet enough.

I like how you explained it. Knowings your medium and studying what you want to create. Like studying anatomy if you want to create people or animals. I want to do prophetic are and create things I see when worshipping Jesus. 😭😭😭 Like His eyes like fire and hair like wool. Bronze skin. ❤❤❤❤❤ Not even sure what medium is the one I should work with. I don't think ive tried any of them well enough or stuck to it long enough to grow in any of them. 🤔

I'm actually watching this while sitting in line to pick up some kids from school. And then we're all going to and after school art music and bible program that I get to share artistic things. The squirts I'm picking up are too little for this, but the middle schoolers are definitely not. And it will be very helpful. Of course that the first video contrasting the Reilly with the Loomis is fantastic as well I've always found Loomis to be two limiting and have always had a hard time drawing faces. But after I saw your first video on the Reilly method, I'm excited to actually start working on the one thing I've been really really bad at and I'm practiced in over decades. Many thanks and I will be looking at your other videos as well

@artbygalen You said you don't want to display something that didn't happen, but what if you have a delusional protagonist/unreliable narrator. Can you show something that happened from their point of view on each cover, even if it's clearly not what went down, if it's referenced later in the comic.
@ArtbyGalen4 ай бұрын
@@FemJesse personally, I believe if you can make it make sense like that, then absolutely. My main issue is when things are displayed that have no frame of reference to the story itself, or the visuals within the book.

Dude, thank you sooooooo much. I learned the Loomis at first through Michael Hampton's videos and it works but it doesn't make understanding the planes esasy at all or even possible! This Reily Method is like a cheat code for the planes. I'm gonna work some more on committing this method to memory then work on combining them both.

I'm having some trouble with the tutorial. Mostly on my side. Even if I have a shape selected, it inconsistently allows me to use the points on it without deleting them. I untucked auto add / delete but then it just doesn't allow me to edit the points and instead just adds new ones. It also doesn't affect the points individually when I do move them and the whole shapes curves bend weirdly when I try to move a point. Has anyone else had this issue? It's just frustrating.

I like the plot arc. Nice. 1. Inciting Incidence 2. Complication 3. Crisis 4. Climax 5. Resolution This is the simplest plot arc ever. I like the simplicity. Each plot point will consist of scenes. Then it's time to sketch out the scenes with thought bubbles. Inking. Flatting. Rendering. Lettering. Publishing.

I understand ordering the first 25 books and storing it into the warehouse so that you know people who order could have it fulfilled from the warehouse and they will ship it I get that that's cool however my question is From there when a person order do they just print it out like print on demand if one person buy something will they just ship off or print off one comic and ship it out to them p or do you have to constantly restock it not understanding why would you have to constantly buy 25 copies after 25 copies at the 25 copies and then they still want to take commission off of what shows off the site I don't understand I'm not really feeling that so I want to make sure I have an understanding they take a commission fee you pay monthly and you got to buy the 25 copies or more at a time in order for them to even store it and my understanding that right that doesn't even sound good to me?

I took a long break from art and almost forgot how to draw faces. I was searching for tutorials, specifically the one that helped me to learn the basics of portrait drawing. All I could remember was a method that was mentioned but I forgot that too! And finally after searching for some time, I've found this! Yes, I was searching for this tutorial exactly. This tutorial is absolutely helpful and well explained ♥️ Thanks for sharing ♥️

For over a year now I struggled on the Loomis and Reilly method only to give up on both of them. Your videos have finally enabled me to understand the Reilly method and use it successfully. Thank you so much for sharing and describing it in a way that it can be understood. From now on I will always use the Reilly method.
