5:55 Sam going off on why he hates them so much is my favorite part of this entire movie. I absolutely love the dialogue.

It’s one of the little details of this movie that it gets right about trial preparation (I’m a trial lawyer) ETA: although generally speaking , it’s not permissible for different lawyers at the same table to make objections. Meaning, Demi Moore’s character would not be allowed to make objections after Tom Cruise made the first objection. But it’s true, some judges are more lenient than others (although this judge doesn’t strike me as one who’d be lenient on that rule)

I believe the original play or screenplay had Kaffee sleeping with Galloway, but Reiner didn't want that complicating the whole storyline so took it out. That's probably why there's not much background on Galloway and their relationship seems quite sterile.

@libertyordeaf very wise choice to remove it. Especially given that she is meant to be unimpressed with him as a lawyer and as a person until the last third of the movie.

Everytime I think about this movie I just associate it with Larry King. He was interviewing Steven Lang during the release of Avatar & King mentioned that Lang was on a Broadway rendition of ‘A Few Good Men’ & Larry says “you did that great line by Jack Nicholson, ‘you wouldn’t know the truth!” Steven Lang corrects him, “haha, you **can’t** handle the truth.” Larry King replies “yeah….heh” LMFAO XD

Cruise and G.I. Jane never looked better than when wearing Navy Officer Dress Blues. This movie made me think about things that I rarely, if ever, think about. About power and responsibility. About things that get swept under the carpet. About how lives can be forever changed because of a legal glitch or error in the system. About justice for the little guy. And somehow, through it all, I was made proud to be an American.

Demi Moore in one of her best roles, without a doubt.... All star cast really raised the bar for courtroom performances. She's letter perfect and stunning, absolutely!

If it’s justice for the little guy, why would you be proud to an American? For over 60 years they have been using their military and economic might to push their narrative all over the world. They are still sanctioning Cuba because Americans wanted that territory. Cuba is the little guy. That should make you think, shouldn’t it?

@@miseracle7291 Yup, the Cubans, in Cuba,... if there wasnt a wall there with 3 dozen Marines on it they would have invaded Florida sometime in the past 50 years, .. all because of them. Could those men be at home, being fathers and sons, and brothers, instead of Cuban, or Iraq, or some other country that is just minding their own business, ... probably. Could all that money being spent on walls, and guns and planes be instead spent on keeping water lines and sewer lines and other infrastructure thats been degrading since the 50s,.. I suppose in theory. But they keep us safe at night!,.. and as an adult, this is a reasonable thing to believe.

They say Demi Moore was added to bring more humanity to the movie, but I think that was a mistake, she brought a lot of brain dead dialogue and buffoonery into the dialogue.
