Interesting talk! However as a religious studies scholar I cannot but feel you glossed over the real problem with objectivity and value-free science, which arises in social sciences and humanities. Here the problem seems to be far more pressing and as you well know, some social scientists and humanities scholars tend to conclude that there is neither a true objectivity nor a value-free approach ever possible in these realms. I would really love to read at least a quick outline your thoughts about the problem.

The scientific investigation is an action of an individual and it (the scientific investigation ) might involve a strategic interdependance element in it,so any scientific investigation is either a one player game or a many players game, therefore marginal utilites of individuals (players ) are there in the scientific investigation. It might be the case, that one's marginal utility is based on ethical consideration, and therefore one's scientific investigation is based on ethical consideration.
