The School Days remix at the end is really what I enjoy about Oblique Occasions. You pick out a sound that people might have heard before, on occasion, but you take it off on an oblique angle to make something new and refined. You let people enjoy an old sound in a new way, unthreatening and relaxing. Maybe they haven't heard the original before, and are pleased with what has been delivered. Maybe they have, and the nostalgia brightens up the dish. Either way, art comes out.
