The School Days remix at the end is really what I enjoy about Oblique Occasions. You pick out a sound that people might have heard before, on occasion, but you take it off on an oblique angle to make something new and refined. You let people enjoy an old sound in a new way, unthreatening and relaxing. Maybe they haven't heard the original before, and are pleased with what has been delivered. Maybe they have, and the nostalgia brightens up the dish. Either way, art comes out.

Here is a true story I wrote from the names of the songs on this album This hit me way too hard. Inevidable: I painted dreams with my girlfriend, taking care of her. She was cutting her skindeep because of her abusers.. I told her to focus on beautiful things like our favourite color blue and promised her our troubles will fade away wave by wave but she was really burdened by her brain that created creatures out of paranoia… and then she told me she was applied to the mental hospital so we had to bid our goodbyes…and then yet she tried to escape…now I have no contact to her and this upcoming summer will be cruel, wondering if she is ok. Oh baby, I tried to be your acoltye, binded by our ties, defending us from all the voices from the dark…but no one shouted back. Who thought this is all I think about during my school days, I only managed to delay her hospital visit seems like, sadness everso inevidable.
