hello. booked at oblu lobigili in a couple of weeks and am glad to see your review of the underwater restaurant. now am doubly excited to try it, too. I'd like to ask about bringing a drone to the resort (and to the maldives, in general). did you have to apply for some permits before taking it on your flight to male? your inputs are very much appreciated. thanks.

Hello, that’s great. I’m sure you will enjoy it there. The underwater restaurant was amazing!! You are only allowed to fly drone on resorts with permission from them. Flying the drone to Male will be no problem. There’s no permits needed.

Can we take alcohol from outside to the resort

No unfortunately not!

It’s illegal to take alcohol to Maldives you are not allowed to bring in alcohol to the country. The only place you’re allowed alcohol are in private island only and nowhere else so you wouldn’t be able to buy alcohol any other place.

Yes it is, the island right next to it is called Lobighili. Its a adult resort only, connected to Ailafushi withh a bridge. This island would be more romantic for honeymoon.
