Great video, could I use the meld to run two mono pedals in parallel? Currently using the signal blender for this but would love to downsize if they both do this. I don’t need the level controls or phase buttons on the SB.

Unfortunately no, the Split|Meld is a very basic utility that will only split a TRS into individual L and R. So for example if you ran a mono cable into one input, only one of the outputs carry any signal. Tip and Ring on a single TRS cable goes to each of the two outputs (one Tip one Ring). There's really no mixing or merging of signals so I think the Signal Blender is still the way to go for this kind of purpose! I hope that helps. =)

I haven’t! I need to use it more, it’s definitely a cool little box. I’ll do an episode on it alone with different pedals and I’ll make sure the visitor is on that list. Stay tuned!

Hi! So i'm trying to figure out if i can use Split Meld to combine two stereo sends to my DSM Simplifier DLX FX return. My thoughts are to send L+L to meld into one channel and R+R to the other channel, therefor melding the two left channels to one and two right channels in another. Do you think this is possible? Cheers

Hey! Sooo if I’m understanding correctly, I don’t think it would be possible. Split Meld doesn’t merge signals, it just puts a L and R channel on a stereo output, hard panned 100% L and R, no mixing happens at all, which I think a lot of people are confused by. It’s basically like a TRS to L+R cable, just female on both sides and in a box haha. Hope that helps!

Can Expression Ramper be used with modular?

You know, that's a good question. I don't know and it's not immediately obvious. From what I do know is that unless you're using a module that explicitly is made for expression pedal input (they're out there), then it might be tricky. However the references I saw to that were only referring to passive expression, not active, and the expression ramper is powered so maybe it's possible? I don't have any eurorack gear, so I'm by no means any expert there, but it's definitely worth shooting OBNE an email! They're super cool folks and will do what they can to help I'm sure. I also found this: www.oldbloodnoise.com/blog/2021/6/2/dan-explains-it-all-expression-ramper-internal-configuration which may give you some info that you might find useful, but it doesn't really answer your question lol.

@@denis_lengart Thanks for reporting back! Are you going to give it a try? I feel like for the price it's worth the experiment, especially if you get it from somewhere with free shipping and free returns. It's a cool device and probably worth rolling the dice.

@@Duskmos I'll think about it, but not in the nearest future, cause at first wanna try some other things. I'm pretty far from the USA , so it takes time to carry smth from States but luckily I have a friend that helps me with it.
