As to why this is fun, I've honestly thought to myself that cashier work actually _is_ kind of fun for like, 30 minutes to maybe an hour. It's mostly doing it for 8 hours straight on your feet the whole time with only a lunch break that makes it suck so much.

I once went to Walmart with my friends to buy random crap for another friend to ding dong ditch him with. I ended up buying a $15 Fortnite anime legends copy for PS5 for him as a joke even tho he doesn't like Fortnite or own a PS5. I used the self checkout and paid for the Fortnite copy but there was no one available to take the protective plastic security casing off and I was impatient and just left with the casing on so now he just has a sealed pristine copy of a dlc code for Fortnite for a console he doesn't even own lol.

Here's an idea, if you price everything a full dollar amount with no change then you'll never have to make change. Alternatively, you could do multiples of 25 cents so you only need quarters.

This reminds me of a game I played in accounting class in high school. It was literally just this except with 2D graphics. I have no idea what it was called, but we played it to simulate running your own business and tracking your finances.

3:07 I work at Burlington and we have it pops up with the total but we can type in the total as well. Your right what store operates like that. The Burlington POS system hasn't been updated since at least 2005. We still have the press F1, F2, etc. We need a modern POS system at Burlington.

I’m incredibly happy the game lets you stack the boxes. Being a grocery store stocker, pilling those boxes is the best part of the job. Especially when the boxes get high enough to reach the ceiling. Good times.

The cashier types in the amount so that the system doesn't mess up and over/undercharge, and so that the company knows if an employee is under/overcharging someone. Significant amounts of money being added or lost in the register at the end of the day is the deciding factor as to whether they need to look into the system or not. I've worked in retail for way too long. Someone help.

@Jenny_Rose_ I can't remember the check out system for if you do it yourself. but you can hire a cashier. if you haven't bought the game I think trader life 2 is the more updated game, I have the first one which I don't think they're updating any more. if you like the checking out process, gas station simulator is best for you, and the makers of that game are actually passionate.
