Obong yak itong osong fi.... We neglect our culture and traditional which are the teachers to govt. Only tradition rule can control the people. In China or India you can't even dare to mess with their Cultures and traditions. They will break the person before he does that.

This says a lot about how those in power in Cross River State give respect or acknowledge the traditional ruler of the Efik people. It definitely would not be so in Lagos, Ibadan, Sokoto or Kano.

Obong,your kingdom had existed for centuries before the British arrived and no one can change that. The influence of eastern paramount rulers got diminished due to political patronage to northern emirs who came around, in that contraption call Nigeria in 1804 to 1808. I think the answer to this question is biafra restoration period.
