Before I get to deep into this video. I Loaded OBS30 on my new PC Build (Ryz 7 win 11 Pro). Unfortunately while some things were better there were issues I noticed right away. The ability to resize, or crop inside a scene was hit or miss. Sometimes I could other times I couldn't, but the biggest issue I have coming from my laptop (Ryz 7 Win 10 Home) running OBS28 is the video playback in a scene. If I tell it to loop the video (spinning globe) there is a significant delay and a jump between the end of the video and the start of the video. This does not run nearly as smooth as OBS 28 did on a much lower quality system. Any ideas on this would be great.

If it doesn’t work for you you can easily go back to the version that did.

You do need to update to the latest OBS 30 and accept a privacy request, to get the the virtual camera to function in Sonoma 14.0 +

I'm a Mac M1 man, and a streaming noob, Michael. I know you have showcased Prism Live Studio for the Mac recently. Would you recommend Prism over OBS or visa versa and would you be as kind to explain why. Ty

For someone new I would recommend Prism for sure. The learning curve is much less steep and the extra built in features let you build something really nice even as a beginner.

What version of OBS are you running on Windows? OBS 28 broke mine and had a goofy touch friendly interface, which was horrible for a laptop with a smaller, lower resolution display. I reverted to OBS 27 and have ignored other updates.

I was using the last version of obs 28. Like I always say. Unless there are features you really want if it works for you leave it go. :-)

This generally happens when your encoder is dropping frames or having difficulty keeping up.

A small thing I noticed and wanted to share after upgrading to the latest obs version. When I updated my desktop capture was no longer working. For some reason it just needed refreshed by right clicking on it and going to it's properties, then it popped in all of the sudden. Just wanted to let anyone know in case it happens to them.

Very awkward process for individual audio. But cool that they are working on Mac. Personally as a Mac user I recommend Elgato Wavelink for Mac. Way easier to capture & control diff audio.

Hey there! I want to have a image that tracks a region, first a thoght about having a chroma color, a card with this color and the image on chroma. The thing is, it will work only if i fit the card with the region exactaly, and even this, will not have a nice aspect, so, my question is. Do you know some way to make some content follow the active chroma, or maybe you have another solution for me? Being more specific i want to joke arround with a card with realtime content on it

For PC the fact there is WHIP/WHEP output is a must. Problem is the streaming services are years behind (yes Twitch I'm looking at you here) But if you run a server yourself or have a project coming up then 500ms latency streams is a great addition

I updated to OBS 30 for windows. I have dual monitor setup and when I move OBS off my main monitor to my secondary monitor, I can no longer add scenes, sources, pretty much do anything. My question Is this a glitch or is this part of feature that I need to off ?

M1 mac Running OS12 still (if it aint broke...) The audio feature in OBS 30 will only work with OS13. I've had issues with caster (free option) working. Would it be worth it to go to OS 13 and replace Caster? thx

I am advising against the 30 update for Windows, especially if you have older hardware. They removed support for my Nvidia card as the encoder and I had to use the software one. This completely bogged down my system making my stream unwatchable.
