25 years ago, in my town, we had general surgeon and his wife was MBBS. They had a small hospital. He used to do 'obs' cases as well and had a reputation that any pregnant women who consultants him, will eventually have LSCS. Since he had the monopoly and people had no knowledge, he took advantage. It is because of these people in the previous generation and even now, who exploited the vulnerabilities of needy, we are facing the brunt.

In my state Assam, majority of Obg specialists are male. The most renowned ones are also male. But in newer generations, females are increasing . Very recently i got to know about male Gynaec /obs taboo in other states from a Bollywood movie starring Ayushman Khurana.

Or cosmetic gyne.. For which many short courses of hands on training are available... Choose a busy private college, deed university or DNB in railway or good busy corporate.
