Just to be clear when rebuilding OBS suspension using an impact gun is ok for torque specs.

I got one with 289000 on it 4x4 shirt box don't smoke trany slips a little nothing has been done to a couple freeze plugs. changed but dash fell apart it's complete but a eye sore now.. one of best trucks built a s10 l had would say best 480000 then l sold it. it's still around ... haha l get my money out of them.. Chevy and old 318 Dodge best.. motors gas wize

I have an issue with OBS aka old body style or original body style. First what body style is old or original? Second body styles are done by generations or style names, bump side, square body or 4th gen. I'm thinking OBS was thought up by some gen z that didn't know and/or was too afraid to ask so they made up OBS which doesn't really specify the year or generation. Have you ever heard a Corvette person or owner say I have an OBS? Why did Eddie Bauer change their logo?

Probably because there is like 14 or 15 body styles of full size gms. Easier to name them memorable things than go by the generation number

It is the old body style now, because these trucks are so popular and the previous is the square body and the next generation is the newer body style, before the current one. For guys who are into gm trucks, it makes perfect sense.

Wish you could have shown something done with a stock engine build. I guess the internets favorite motor takes another truck with another freakin LS swap. I know its easy and blah blah blah, but would be nice to get a stock engine build to see what they can do on their own VS another LS Swap..

Do not like the dashes in those trucks if i owned one which i don't think i would I'd def. Put a different dash in it. Otherwise it's a good looking unit. Keepemcoming

I’ve owned several (and currently own two). The dashboard is definitely the biggest drawback of these trucks, especially the ‘95 and up, as they crack to pieces. I’ve thought of fiberglassing my 96 RCSB, but for now a dash mat hides the unsightly mess. There are a few companies that make an overly that doesn’t look too bad…

If it was my build, I would have left all the chrome off! It didn't have any chrome in the beginning, definitely would not put any on it!
