I have a huge hole probably 8" wide in my 98. Do you think this would work for mine? I have a crack free replacement dash but it is a different color, im thinking about using one of these. Would would you recommend to help add support across that hole

@@michaelclld interesting question. I thought the directions mentioned reinforcing such damage with something like expanding foam. But I am unable to locate any such advice now. I would say some sort of support would be helpful to prevent sagging over time. Good luck and thanks for the comment!

@@freedom1garage good idea about the foam. I don't put anything in my dash so basic support for the skin would be all that is needed

Maybe Fiberglass sheet and resin. It should be support stable after it dries. Maybe make it separately then apply it, with some Fiberglass filler. Walmart or Amazon for cheaper prices.

i would have drilled holes to access the original bolts along the firewall to allow removal of the entire dash with the skin in the event that a heater core or other required service was possible without having to tear the dash skin off....

Great point. I have seen that done. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
