Yes, I too have discovered some of the wheel cylinders for these trucks are SAE & others are metric. Many OBS diesel owners here in the States are cringing when they see you use two of the rad. supports to make one rather than try to save both of them. I am amazed at how clean the bolt openings are on the one you are using. Most diesel or gas units I have seen are greatly rotted away in that area as well as the rest of those stacked pieces f sheet steel.

I've fixed a few of them over the years. I also have a few in a pile, Everytime I part out a truck I keep it no matter if it's gas or diesel or obs cab style. Always comes in handy for fixing or repairing. I think LMC makes repro supports now for the diesels. Shipping, duty, and brokerage to the North country would kill me though

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Grew up in town myself but the Old man was on a farm. Always supported me to build, fab, jimmy rig. etc. at an early age. Hense the shop full of tools ( no room to work) lol. I was doing basic welds on tacked up stuff when I was 6 ( machine preset before hand not by me ) Restored my 1st truck between 14 and 16 on the driveway in town (other than final paint) learned how to drive a standard on the way home from the bodyshop by myself. etc. Now it just brings me enjoyment to fix up old vehicles and equipment and add a bunch of custom or modern touches while I go... Lots of projects.....not enough time

The Diff is looking good. Shawn. I hear ya loud and clear when they build things out of plastic junk like the tops of rads and such it just frustrates the hell out of me, how these manufactures get away with building shit that barely last your warranties. Enjoyed this video Shawn great job on the refit of the rad support. 1800 to recore a rad, are they on bloody crack cocaine or what? Holycrap! their out of their minds. All aluminum it is I guess so. Wow!

Thanks Fon, thats $1850 canadian so a bit better converted to usd..... made the all aluminum for 750 sound like a bargain when they wanted 875 for the aluminum with plastic end caps. Hope the mounts all match up.

You like the OBS trucks like I do... all that said, I really think you would love to see and possibly buy a 96 up for sale... honest twelve K on the clock, a california truck... I think I will leave it there so you go look at this very nice, like new condition rig. Channel name is C&C equipment.... Clint stumbled onto this rig as he likes them also. He just rebuilt one from the bottom up but this truck has a story!

How much body lift do you have on that truck

4 Inches is what I had to go to clear the frame and crossmembers with the 3rd row area.
