In This video we continue are progress on our obs Silverado interior installing a new black headliner, visors and painting some interior plastic. I want to convert the interior of the obs Silverado to black from the original tan. I ordered a new abs headliner from lmc truck. I also ordered black visors and 1 visor post. I also started to fix some of the cracks in the dash before we add a new skin to the top of it. The old plastic in the obs Silverado or c1500 is old and brittle so I did have to fix a few parts with glue and epoxy. After that I followed the process from SEM to Clean, Scuff and Paint the parts. If you take your time you will be impressed at how good the parts can look! We are going to get the whole interior swapped over to black in the coming videos. I have dyed a lot of plastic trim pieces over the years and have had good luck with the using a satin clear top coat. I put it on very lightly and imo it gives it more of an oem look, otherwise the pieces look a little flat to me even when I use the semi gloss trim paint. I believe sem has a satin clear dye paint. If not the corvette parts supplier will. Looking good!

@@TWAMotorsports got my heads on and torqued to spec with ARP Head Bolts. Getting close to Engine and Trans going back in. Turbo LT1 is going to be insane! Ill post a video when shes done! Always look forward to your vids.

Nice!! I think I'm going to give Landau one more shot. Maybe it was the humidity, but mine test door panel came out with too much sheen. I was going for a very very low, modern OEM nearly flat sheen. This last OBS I bought already had a black interior done but the dash is especially shiny for my tastes.

For the head liner sag in front of the windshield I used a long strip of industrial Velcro holding strong

Q bond is really good you can shape it with sand paper or file really good for plastic parts

Super glue and baking soda to build up material. Hardens like plastic.
