Just a tiny fyi .. streaming is usually measured in Megabits/sec or Gigabits/sec for the very good connections. You mean the same thing but you keep saying Megabytes. Thats a common mistake but just keep it in mind. 34000 Kilobits = 34Mbps .. the actual data transfer done at this speed of 34Mbps = divided by 8 so you send 4.25 Mega (now you can say it Bytes) :). So in a nutshell, 34000Kilobits/s = 34Megabits/s = 4.25MegaBYTES/sec. Other than that awesome tut :) .

Very good video, besides mixing megabytes with megabits. The first is 8 times the second...and in video it's usually described in the second, so in megabits/kilobits/bits etc, but not bytes.

kbps = mbps if you want to do the /100 method. So 17,000Kbps it is only 17Mbps (bits). 17MBps (byes) would be 136,000 kbps

Awall I’ve followed this to a T using an AMD RX6900 XT which has x.265. My stream is getting 0 fps, probably dropped, lagged frames and encoder overload. I have gigabit fiber internet with 1000/1000 mbps I have 128gb RAM and a Ryzen 9 5950x CPU. I’m using an 8K Samsung Q800T TV on 4K 120fps. To add to the conversation with 20 years professional experience as a IT Administrator : Data transfer in general is always messured in bits and and stored data is always messured in bytes. That means: 8 bits in 1 byte. 8 bits / 8 = 1 byte 1 byte * 8 = 8 bits So: If your download speed from your ISP is 100mbit / second you can download up top 12,5 mbytes / second (100 / 8 ) (not 10 mbytes / second ) Notation: Mb = Megabit MB = Megabyte Also there is the kilo notation (kilobyte) and the binary notation kibibyte 1 KiB (kibibyte) = 2 (to the power of 10) bytes = 1024 bytes Real World Example: 256 MB of RAM are 256 * 1024 = 262144 Kibibytes or 262144 * 1024 = 268.435.456 bytes = 2.147.483.648 bits For the sake of simplicity most people even in the professional world refer to it as Kilobytes, Megabytes etc. even if its Kibibytes. In other words data transfer is always messured in bits. Even the transfers on your mainboard. But often times "marketing" shows the byte numbers on the boxes even if its technically not correct. Example: PCI-E 4.0 x 16 can transfer 31,5 GBytes / second (without protokoll overhead) or 252 Gbits / second And yes, I had to do insane calculations with this stuff in my final exam so I can call myself "System Administrator" officially. PS: 50% of headroom is WAAAAY to much. 20 - 30% if more than enough (if the only thing you do is streaming that is) You have to keep in mind that those numbers are only the Videobitrate. The entire upload is Video + Audio Bitrate. And often times the stream is peaking "a bit". So if you set it to 30mbits / second it can peak over that number by a couple mbits if needed.

@@hookyhook make sure you run obs as administrator, and if it still sucks, drop from quality toward performance. Don’t forget to run canvas in performance mode, and limit your game frame rate as a last resort.

@@AlissonVieir4 no not at all the streaming pc can be very basic as using the capture card it pulls through all your high end display from your more powerful gaming pc :) the mk2 by elgato can do full 4K 60 as well as 240hz pass through at 1080 :)

if you are recording, yes. 100000mbps recording is around 1gb per minute.

34 Megabytes per second? Shouldn't it be 34 Megabits per second. In OBS it shows in Kilobits, not Kilobytes. 1 Megabit = 1042 Kilobits.

Followed these settings exactly and they do not work on OBS Studio. I have a GTX3090 24GB video card, 64GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i9-12900K @ 3.2 -> 5.2GHz Liquid Cooled; no go! All I can get is 1440P 60 on KZbin with this software but with Streamlabs OBS it works fine.

RTX 3070 absolutely can. What processor and RAM do you have though? Also your Internet plan has to be robust. I have 1200 MB download/120 MB upload per second. It’s all connected. I have a RTX 3060ti founders edition, Ryzen 7 5800x and 32 GB RAM and can stream 4K so a 3070 definitely can

gtx1050 / i5 6400 / 8gb ddr4 can do 4K recording AND streaming. Just use NVENC, you don't need top of the line laptop for that. You just need a good enough broadband internet and that's it. Ok, you can't play 4k games with gtx1050.
